My knock on Maroney and the offense

It was widely reproted in the media that Brady was behind schedule. Felger yapped on this for a long time after Brady had the infection issues, then Curran reported the same thing. Charlie Casserly reports much about the Pats but is wrong way more often than he is right. I just don't see...

My knock on Maroney and the offense

Are these the same guys that told us Cassel would be cut? That Favre would bring the Jets to the Superbowl? That pronounced the Patriots season over when Brady went down? Listen to the TV announcers all you want, but yeah, they pull this stuff out of their collective butts.

My knock on Maroney and the offense

You do understand that 3.7 ypc sucks, right?

Jason Taylor: On possibility of playing with Jets...

He was given the choice of coming to off-season conditining program and getting $8.5 million dollars or getting cut, and he chose getting cut. Me, I would have lifted the weights, but hey! What's $8.5 million anyway?

Are the Pats ready to deal Laurence Maroney?

Re: Are the New England Patriots Ready To Deal Laurence Maroney? Not a stat guy myself, and stats can be misleading (Faulk's is high because he only runs in passing situations when the MLBs are out of position to defend the run, and Evans was low because he usually only carried the ball in short...

Are the Pats ready to deal Laurence Maroney?

Re: Are the New England Patriots Ready To Deal Laurence Maroney? Maybe we can trade him and a fifth round pick to the Raiders for Doug Gabriel and the rights to Jeff Garcia.

Clark Judge does NOT want Jason Taylor on the Patriots

I thought lastyear we didn'twin the division. Hard to be a bully by coming out second best.

BJGE does NOT have practice squad eligibility

Maroney has been productive, certainly way more than BJGE. The problem with Maroney bashers is that they have two standards. The standard for MAroney is higher because he is a first round pick and BJGE was undrafted. That is reasonable for EXPECTATIONS,but not for making a decision which...

Porter says Taylor could be on way to Patriots

Don't be melodramatic. We have LBs to start and backup now. A rookie would not be depended on, but would be used according to his ability and need. A rookie could either start from day one, like Mayo did last year, fill in early on and play significant minutes, like Guyton did last year, be...

Gil Santos retiring from WBZ, but staying with WBCN

Re: Gil Santos retiring Me, too. I remember him doing our football games for New Bedford High, but my favorite was him and Cousy doing the Celtics. Those two were awesome together.

NFP: Don't speculate on Brady's knee

I do. He is comparing the rigors of a DB returning to football condition to a QB, and uses running down RBs as an example of not being ready. QBs don't need to be in the same physical condition as DLs. It's like high ankle sprains. Brady had one and didn't miss a start and was fine. A RB, WR...

    Patriot Place a BUST??

Local vendors are still operating in America, brother. Not as many as before because of people who go to the Natick Mall for lunch instead of a locally owned spot, but they are there. No only that, but it is hard to find a bad locally owned joint. Only those with good food and good service...

Schefter: Belichick to devote more time to offense

Yes, I'm much more concerned about the deffense than the offense.

LaMont Jordan not expected to be re-signed for 2009

Agree 100%. I was glad he was drafted, and still think all he needs is to stop looking for a home run every carry and just take what is available. Every off-season some players learn things and do better. No reason why Maroney cannot do the same. Here's hoping.

New England Bandwagon Nation by Ken Knight - Any feedback here?

There is truth to his statement that the 1988-1990 Patriots did not have good attendence. The issue people are taking in this thread is that saying that there was poor attendance in 1990 and sellouts from 1994 to the present means that New England fans are bandwagon fans compared to the rest...

And the team of the decade is...

Re: And the Team of the Decade Is...... The second millenium started in 1001. But if you meant that the third millenium started in 2000, what year do you think that the first millenium started in? (Remember, a millenium is 1000 years).

    Way to go, Stubhub

It is hardly simple, but please let us know when you take this high school course. You can then explain to us how the lack of anti-gouging laws that prevent businesses from selling everything from gasoline to food at exhorbitant prices because of market fluctuations that cause demand to...

Dolphins organization looking like hypocrites now with a discontented QB

I thought the exact same thing. You would think they would be embarrassed about what they are doing. I wonder who what QB they will trade for next year. They do it every year, it seems.
  19. B

Oh my God! Felger had an excellent point

I wonder if they will get a deal done for a long term contract next year? Probably not. Either Samuel will do well and price himself out of our market or he will do poorly and his asking price will be too high for a "one great year" guy.

    Patriots sue StubHub

The original poster was talking about NFL tickets in general and Patriots tickets is particular. How much you paid for a concert ticket or a parking ticket isn't germane to the question at hand. Unless... have you ever purchased a ticket for a Patriots game and never gotten the seat...
