Had we had the 2 pick, is there any indication we would've taken Daniels in that spot? I get the impression we still would have rolled with Maye.
Basically means the whole Denver New England fiasco was moot all along.
I could see Bill and Roger having a cordial relationship after the years have gone by.
I wonder if Tom would feel the same in regard to Roger, though. The scandal he went through was a much more personal attack against him.
Hopefully not, given he was our best option more out of necessity.
No knock on him at all. More just that a quality but aging RB2 should not be your best weapon.
Bourne
Polk
Douglas
Osborn
Baker
Reagor/Thorton battle that Reagor wins for his ST abilities.
There's no use for Juju here any longer and Boutte has too many issues.
What if Polk/Baker wind up producing similar production to what he had last year? You basically save $20 million per season avoiding paying a depreciating asset that's about to turn 30.
Did that Chuks guy die or something? He's started 50+ games at tackle and is turning 27 in August.
He also played for a Steelers team that has notably not been able to get the best out of their lineman in recent years. (Look at what Kevin Dotson did in LA this year)
I'd argue he's worth a...
I think that depends on guaranteed money. We may be able to secure a better incentive based deal now rather than next year with him coming off of an injury.
If the guaranteed money is low, and he declines this year, we can cut our losses for much less of a hit.
This was something the staff had absolutely failed in doing the previous few seasons. Which explained part of the talent drain.
To their credit, sometimes it wound up being a JC Jackson situation.
Post-draft and now post Barmore extension. What do you expect to see between now and August?
I wouldn't mind still seeing a Judon extension. Maybe Peppers as well. I think that'd about cover extensions for this offseason. I don't foresee Rhamondre getting one until the season plays out.
As for...
Starting to get the impression this Fontenot dude doesn't know what he's doing. He had several head scratching picks, paid Darnell Mooney a ton of money. Not to mention they've been making strange picks like this the last few seasons.
A bump of this thread.
Was just thinking about next year’s draft. Since we hardly signed anyone, is there a decent chance we could wind up landing a couple late picks? Maybe from Trent Brown, Mack Wilson, Pharoah Brown, etc.
Wouldn’t expect much more than a couple late rounders if anything.
