I’m headed back to the airport now. We did Lake como, Florence and the Amalfi coast for our honeymoon. Headed back to the real world now. Italy is absolutely beautiful. Recorded the Celtics playoff games and the draft to watch when I get back but woke up at 5:30 and checked the draft results...
I think Coleman is a traditional x so he’d be a good fit. I also wouldn’t pick him at 34 but if they traded back 10 picks or so he’d make sense.
Also, props for being overseas and following American sports. I’m in Italy right now and there is no way I could consistently stay engaged with the...
If AD Mitchell doesn’t go 33 then the Pats should draft him at 34. Otherwise there are a group of players I would be happy with so a trade back probably makes sense.
I’d add DeJean, Newton, Koolaid, Keon Coleman and Roman Wilson to that group of targets to add in a trade back.
After reading the article in the athletic it seems like the plan is Maye. If Maye surprisingly goes at 2 then the plan is to trade back and get assets then use some of those assets to trade back up and grab Jj McCarthy. Trading back then trading up seems like playing with fire so I hope it goes...
Agree about picking McCarthy at 3. If they want to draft JJ moving back a couple spots is necessary.
I disagree on Coleman. I think Pats fans have ptsd on jump ball/contested catch receivers after N’keal Harry failed spectacularly. I don’t think Keon is near as stiff or as bad a route runner as...
They don’t have to solve the LT position this year but it makes a lot of sense to do so. The Pats have a big need at the position this is considered a good tackle class and we never know when the Pats will have draft capital like this to solve one of the most important positions in football...
To me the concern about his size is because he takes too many big open field hits. If he doesn’t learn to slide in the nfl it probably wouldn’t matter if he put on 10 pounds.
Anthony Richardson is a lot bigger than Daniels and also has a problem with taking big hits in the open field. He...
I just don’t see them trading Jefferson. Jefferson being as good as he is, is probably why the Vikings are willing to part with so much draft capital to win now.
I’m not really interested in a trade back unless it’s an offer too good to refuse. Two first and Jefferson is too good to refuse. I’d...
saw the same exact post on Reddit. I appreciate the hustle to get your thoughts out on different platforms.
I’m still not sure they trade back, I think Mayo’s answers were to prepare the fans for either picking a qb or a trade back.
If they can get Higgins or Aiyuk for a second round pick those guys are probably going to be better than a receiver they could draft their. Not sure I would want to give more than a second because a huge contract would have to accompany any deal.
I doubt either becomes available in trade though.
I really like the monochromatic uniforms (blue pants blue jersey, white pants white jersey…). I loved the color rush jerseys and was glad they basically went to them full time.
I like these uniforms better than the silver and blue unis from the Brady years.
Although I think we can all agree...
I’m rushing to draft an LT at 34 not just because it’s a need but because it’s a position I don’t think they will be able to find later.
For reference I like Guyton, Suamataia and Paul at left tackle in that range but I don’t expect any of those guys to last until the 3rd. I think pretty much...
I hope this isn’t true. That he signed so early in free agency for so cheap doesn’t scream starting LT. Depending on him would remind me of the Calvin Anderson move last year. They would be similar in that the Pats front office thinks they are smarter than everyone else by paying swing tackle...
While it doesn’t seem to be his first choice Gilmore seems open to potential return.
They should sign Gilmore, Simmons a tackle and call it a day until the draft.
As of now the starting LT seems like it will be Okorafor, Anderson or Wheatley.
Andrews at center, Sow at RG and Onwenu at RT seem locked in imo. Strange will be the starter at LG unless he lands on IR to start the year in which case Leverett should be the starter there.
This team still needs...
30 mm would be a conservative estimate. They have 51 in space now the draft picks should cost about $8 mm to sign. That would mean they spend about $13 more on free agents/traded players.
I don’t have the confidence the front office will even shell out that much.
Did Wolf give the front office the rest of the week off after day two of free agency?
It would be nice to see even a small signing to let us know the lights are still on in the front office.
I thought Donovan Peoples-Jones would have immediately been the best X receiver on the team, he just...
