funny how you left out the only player who most people on this board would rather have, deangelo williams.
Joseph Addai is a terrible example as in the Colts drafting another RB in the first round last year in Donald Brown.
comparing Mayo to Lewis is a stretch... no? of course most people would trade for him. Lewis is a perennial pro bowler and future HOF'er, no doubt one of the best MLB's ever. Harris, not sure. A lot of players perform well in Rexies system and prove to be useless/overrated elsewhere. Plus...
This was just as bizarre as the play-calling. I was figuring we'd see a lot of both of those guys to keep the game balanced. Faulk still had a great game picking up the slack, but we need something more than a draw-play run game.
Re: Our recent draft picks vs the Raven's recent draft picks
Like I said, Wilfork is the defense's most important player, and I dont need stats to back up my opinion on that.
Re: Our recent draft picks vs the Raven's recent draft picks
id be hard pressed to find a more important player to this defense (aside from wilfork) than mayo. He led the team in tackles, again, with almost 20+ more than the next player (meriweather). He has one other season to compare to...
Funny how Ed Reed is the EXACT same size. I mean, I don't watch a lot of Ravens football, so what do I know, but would you say Ed Reed is built like a mosquito?
Re: Why isn’t anyone talking about Maroney’s fumble?
the point swing was a wash. the pats forced the colts to punt after the fumble. welker returned the punt to the 5 or so and Brady threw it to Moss for the TD. There is no way you can say that a TD by Maroney would have sealed the game...
get over yourself, maroney was hit behind the line yesterday multiple times, due to the lack of blocking, and turned it into a positive play all but once, IIRC.
Again? what are you talking about? that was my first post on the subject. I never compared Maroney in terms of productiveness to those backs, I was merely proving a point that he rarely fumbles. It happens. more so with those other backs. what we lack is a gameplan to run the ball when we're...
I agree, all too often this year the pats have abandoned the run. This is prime example of boneheaded play-calling, for which we saw throughout much of the 3rd and 4th quarters. i dont believe it had anything to do with BB "not trusting maroney". it was obvious that our ol was starting to get...
