But why didn't NBC have that "up-angle" view of the FG, looking up from beneath the cross bar? They almost always have that angle for the Sunday afternoon games. Why wouldn't they have a cameraman positioned underneath the uprights for the week's biggest game, on what was a game winning or...
Fans have little power in this fight, short of boycotting the games, and honestly, who's going to do that? I'm certainly not.
It would be cool if fans could somehow organize to (a) not buy ANY NFL merchandise until the strike is resolved, and (b) watch all NFL games via pirate sources...
I totally remember this guy! This was a great bit. He did this routine on every late night talk show in the 80's. The part that always got me was "...Tom!"
Another great gridiron bit was George Carlin's Football vs. Baseball routine. R.I.P George.
And just to make this thread relevant...
Even by 8-team league standards, it looks like a good draft. Generally, only a homer would draft two WR's from the same team, but if you're gonna have 'em, Welker/Lloyd are pretty high on the iist of duos you'd want.
Matt Ryan will probably become your starter before too long. He's poised...
He was all the rage when the Chargers first drafted him. A Mike Tolbert-type before they had Tolbert. Yeah, I think some team high on the waiver wire list will snatch him up.
re: Rex Ryan: "These Jets could be best I've had"
And yet, everyone else on the planet considers this year's squad to be Ryan's weakest team ever. Oh, irony.
This is Dez's (satirical) side of the story
ProFootballMock.com | Dez Bryant Claims Assault On Mother Should Not Be Illegal Since, Technically, It Came Within Five Yards Of Line Of Scrimmage
Fair enough.
My original point, and this is purely a personal belief, was that a lot of Patriot fans will only see things from a "my-team-is-always-right" perspective, and if this play was reversed, would defend Wilfork and claim that the hit was not dirty or illegal. It's like Jerry...
Okay. So just to be clear then, you're saying that if this EXACT same play happened Sunday, except that it was Wilfork taking out Croyle instead of Pollard taking out Brady, you're saying that you would be passionately arguing that Wilfork should be fined and/or suspended, correct? And if it...
For all Patriot fans who think this was a dirty hit (which, I know, is not all of you), I submit the following theory:
I believe that if your memory of Sunday's game was somehow erased, and you were then shown footage of this play, but, (via some CGI/Industrial Light and Magic/Hollywood...
Hmm. I'm starting to think this whole "injured Tom Brady" thing is all just another one of Bill Bellichek’s nefarious schemes.
Brady never blew out his knee. Bellichek is just trying to make other teams take the Patriots lightly. I swear, that guy’ll do anything to gain even the slightest...
