I hear you. There's a lot of entitlement there that the previous regime would not have dealt with. I am not sure it's a slam dunk because of that.
Maybe. that's the thing. None of it is a guarantee. MHJ is as close to a guarantee as there is. I am all in on MHJ at 3 and Nix at 34.
My guess is they won't tip their hand either way to maximize trade value if they decide to trade out. If they look at Maye/Daniels as another Christian Ponder, then they'll present how interested they are in taking the player and then trade out last minute for max value.
I'm trying to figure...
I dunno man. Here's the PFF top 20 OTs currently and their draft position. Tope 10 picks are bold, non R1 guys are in italics.
Trent Williams, 4th overall.
Lane Johnson, 4th overall
Laremy Tunsil, 13th overall
Andrew Thomas, 4th overall
Christain Darrisaw, 23rd overall
Jordan Mailata, 7th round...
I was prepared to do that, never thought Daniels would drop. Same on the last one I did. I opted for Alt who dropped to 8 and then every time I have done it, Nix has been there at 34, so I was confident I got a great OT and then I got a guy that may just be there when they pick for real at 34.
They still had Tom, Gronk, and Edelman. The defense was amazing. They 100% would have won again. I appreciate you defending Bill, but, in his words, players play. They had the horses needed to play with anyone that year. I maintain they won because Tom got everyone to run it back one more year...
The trade back in R1 netted me 8, 43, 79 and 143. Maybe a little unrealistic, but what the hell? I really wanted Sweat at 43, but I like Leggett too. It gave me a ****ty grade on Rice, only because I passed on two others, don't remember which ones.
There's one guy responsible, he's not here anymore.
Re: Ted Johnson's comments, he made a living bashing Bill. Bill's not here, so he's gotta run the Felger playbook now to keep it going. Loved him as a player, but he sucks as a media person. All set. He's not Felger and Mazz or John Tomase...
That's really the key. If the guy at #3 is a franchise guy for 10-15 years, you 100% do not trade out. If he's not special... a JAG with good measurables but a 10 cent head... pass.
Not a fan. Coach Prime has all his media buddies to do his bidding. I want no part of that **** show that will be just like the NBA. Hard pass. @cmasspatsfan Lorenzo Ball indeed.
I just finished.
I’m more locked in to my opinion on the Bill/Tom relationship than before.
Bill loves to coach. After the 2016 season, Tom had outgrown Bill. He no longer needed him, knew the answers to the test. Bill brought nothing to the table new for Tom to continue growing. The son had...
