You are correct, there is nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately like all top level management/Ownership they don’t own there mistakes. They always have a fall guy to take the PR hit. It is what it is and it will remain that Way.
We’ll see. Hopefully, it works out for Mayo.
It is easy to look good when someone else is held accountable. I think they should have went with someone outside the organization. Having a succession plan is good when someone is retiring or moving on. Seems like a douche move when someone is fired...
Interesting hire, Mayo has been on the coaching staff during the downward spiral. So I am not sure why he will be a better leader now.
As a player, he was a tackling machine but never figured out how to defend a pass.
Curren‘s butt still hurt’s from sign video taping days. BB made him look bad for asking stupid questions. Most of local media guys been waiting for BB to falll
Ok, I’ll give you that. We don’t know who Mac wanted. However, Mac did go out of his way to minimize BB achievement by calling him good defensive coach last season. He should have said what he saying know..
We can all second guess, but most of us (including me) thought he was a solution to scrambling QB’s. Just owning my mistake, assuming he remains a mistake.
BB been saying players make the biggest jump from year 1 to year 2. He didn’t see that with Mac, but some people (including the owner) thoughit that the jump didn’t happen due to bad coaching. He probably had no choice but to let it play out.
Bill Parcell’s description of him would be a “joker” that does not fit the profile of prototype LB (not big enough) and DB (not reactive fast enough). I think it is easier to get bigger than faster. So, LB it is.
Bob is good coach, he just needs a better QB. He had some success without Brady in both the NFL and at the college level. Mac is destroying multiple coaching careers.
