Even though Zappe threw a bunch of awful passes and failed to get rid of the ball several times and failed to score even a single point it was better than watching Jones.

What's our record if we had a 2nd/3rd tier NFL level starting QB? I just googled qb rankings and 16-18 are Dobbs, Howell, and Carr. Our guy Mac was 28th in that ranking but I think his play today was well below even that standard. He just keeps getting worse.

Hot take: I think we'll blow them out and Mac will look great but it won't carry over and we're right back to where we were next week. Some people will speculate he's turned the corner but they'll will be wrong.

I'm not sure if Mac was the problem originally but he has become the problem now. Water under the bridge. Leaves us in a tough spot since it would be nice to address some other desperate need vs. QB again so soon.
