Draft a power RB? Re-sign Blount? Get Foster?

I agree. Would love to get Henry with one of our #2 picks or maybe trade up for him. Unlike Blount, he would probably play hard trying to prove himself. I also like Marshall from Georgia, 6'0" 220 with blazing speed and good wiggle. Some great dekes on some of his runs, but also very strong and has good hands out of the backfield.

I def wouldn't be mad if we traded up for Henry. I think the kid is a monster.

A almost 250lbs RB in Foxboro, with Brady as the QB? Yes please. He wasn't in play before the Jones trade, he is now. At best he's Eddie George in his prime, and worst he's Antwain Smith.

I know we have the GOAT at qb, but we need a run game bad. I'm not saying we should turn into the Vikings, but a strong run game that defenses have to respect makes our passing game that much better.

I'd go Foster over Blizzount aslong as health checks out. Blounts nothing special. Time for something different with atleast alil burst.
might as well make it two former texans

Would have been a perfect choice with our #1 pick that the league stole.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I dont know why there isnt more buzz for Kenneth Dixon out of LA tech. Hes a 3 down back with the best hands in the draft. Great iside/outside runner that gets north and south. HE would be PERFEEEECT at 60... Id be ecstatic with that pick. He would ber the RB of the future.

Would also love to pick up Foster. From his quotes from earlier in the off-season he said he wanted to win and didnt care about money. Hopefully he actually means that, unlike Forte

Bingo. It makes me almost vomit to hear the talking heads go on and on about how the Pats don't really need a running game. That their passing game is their runningg game. How many games this past season would they have had an easier time winning or flat out won instead of a loss had they had a decent runnig game?

Dallas-final score is not indicative of how that game went offensively.
Buffalo at home
Dolphins final game of the season
Eagles
And the big daddy..Denver both times actually. More so the AFCCG.

Lots of options as to how to address it, but why not approach our old pals TB about Charles Sims?

It worked once (Blount).

Anyone else have suggestions as to who would intrigue the masses in a trade?

Apologize if this is redundant, but I haven't posted in a while, and am genuinely concerned about the RB situation.

Cheers all!

Tevin Coleman, Jeremy Hill
Arin Foster one of the Cleveland or Tenn backs
Knownshown Moreno, Blount, Rookie
I think the Patriots are looking for a back with wheels.
What about trade for a KC or Oakland back.
Id love to get Darren Sproles from Philly.

Knile Davis would look sweet in the flying Elvis!

Step 1. Draft Jonathan Williams this year in Round 3
Step 2. Draft Christian McCaffrey next year
Step 3. Williams-McCaffrey-Lewis combo for the win in 2017

That might depend on our need for a pass rusher next year. If Sheard is extended and Flowers adequately replaces Nink, then you may well be right on McCaffery. Love Jonathan Williams so Step one is a win.

Couldn't agree more. It's one thing to want your offense revolving around Brady, but something altogether different when people expect a high rate of success without any semblance of an actual running game, especially in the postseason.

I think we'll see an improvement in that area one way or another, if not simply due to the bar having been set so low last season. They'll almost certainly take a shot at a RB in the draft, and the lack of moves (sorry, I'm not sure that I see Donald Brown as much of a signing just yet) may be yet another hint.

Draft pick this year and draft pick next year in a potentially great class.

With this two TE combo I feel much better about their prospects for running the ball, for a variety of reasons and it looks like the sweet spot in this draft for running backs is the 2nd-4th rounds. I would be fine with them taking 2 backs if they like what they see.Collins, Drake, Perkins and Williams are all guys I could add landing here, and possibly even Fred Taylor Jr. It sucks not having that 1st but I do feel pretty good about the talent available to them into the 5th round.

Aside from James White, have we taken an actual RB who had a decent shot at making the team since the double dip of Ridley/Vereen back in '11? It's been awhile, and I think it's a position that Belichick will feel strongly about addressing in the earlier rounds, particularly after watching that disaster of an offense with their lack of any semblance of a rushing attack last season.

We can assume backs like Lewis, Bolden (ST value), and maybe even Devlin as the closest thing to "locks" that we have, but there's not much after that. It's definitely a big hole on our team at the moment, but I'm sure that Belichick has some type of plan in place. Hopefully, things are looking much better come late spring/early summer.

Maybe the Pats are high on Gaffney. Even if they are, I'd still expect them to draft a RB or pick a cheap FA.

are there any under-the-radar type powerbacks we should be looking at in this draft ?

I'm pretty high on Dixon as well.. IMO.. It's gotta be Henry or Dixon if we are looking for a lead back.

Jordan Howard ... Not a full on power back, has some agility and can make defenders miss. Very physical at point of contact...I'm a fan of his as well.
