I don't know if he really needs to add that much weight. Keep his athleticism to play the slot but he has the ability to block inline so that he can still be a part of the run game.

It would be great to be able to get back into those 2 TE formations we had a few years back before Ahern went bananas.

Exactly. One other thing is that he supposedly looked really good in the red zone at the Senior Bowl. This is a team that traded for Tim Wright and signed Christian Fauria, both red zone guys. Maybe another clue to an interest in this type of TE.

Been hugely impressed with Miller from the footage I've seen.

Really like him or Whitehair with our second rounder, although both may well be gone.

"Draft the BEAST"? haha

What are you thoughts on Carl Nassib out of Penn State, or really any other favorite front 7 players that might be there in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th rounds?

Heard rumors that New England is interested in Braxton Miller as a 2nd-3rd round player. Would have many similarities to Edelman coming out of college.
At 6'2" and 220 lbs more of an Anquan Bolden type.

Good post. Impressive BB type kid.

Hoping he falls on teams' draft boards due to the "only one year of production" thing. He has great physical attributes, and seems to have finally grown into his body. Plus, a great story of hard work paying off.

Actually 6'1", 204lbs at the weigh in.

I like him as a bigger, faster Julian Edelman. Has the quickness to get open quickly and has the trick play, reverse, screen upside that Edelman gives us. It's not that bad a comp. another, admittedly wishful comp, is Antonio Brown. Not saying he'll be that good but he could be that type of receiver.

I don't expect anything sexy this year. Our roster is pretty damn stocked so it's probably Best Player Available every time we pick. I would expect the usual:

- OL-to-groom
- LB-to-groom with ST value today

And then add in a mix of a WR, TE and DT/DE.

I don't see RB on your list? RB is iffy? Lewis might not be 100%. Blount is an FA. Jackson...who knows? Bolden is ST. Jmaes White IMO I am making a full time Randall Cobb WR (same size). You have to get a back to at the least make opposing DCs say "O.K. ........wait....a run?". (P.S. Josh....Please change your snap count!!!!) That helps on the run as well. Too much farting around with formation changes and man in motion crap at the line. Whatever happened to speeding up the tempo?

Up to the line......Change this set, change that protection, call out the MLB, have the WR start motion and then....run it for a yard.....just great!

Maybe a vet like Matt Forte gives us quality snaps and can catch.

I like RB Kenneth Dixon from LA Tech in this Draft. He might be my second rounder if he lasts.

5'10" and 213 lbs. Unlike our RBs it seems he has vision rather than plow into the biggest pile on the line of scrimmage.

Ridley only signed a 1 year contract with the Jets. So what the Jets did was eat Ridley's post-surgery year. Suckers! We can now re-sign Ridley and get him back to his good ol' self. Should be less than $1.5 million, too. We also have Tyler Gaffney still.

I only watched him once briefly and wasn't overly impressed but that's because I like athletic twitchy guys. I don't see him as a RDE which is really what we need. One front 7 guy I like is Charles Tapper of Oklahoma. Another LDE type who is excellent against the run but has the athleticism to rush the passer and can move inside on passing downs. I like him as a better Version of Grissom. The guy I really liked is Jonathan Bullard of Florida. Unfortunately he's moved up into first round consideration now.

Totally understand liking those quick twitch athletes, but the dude had 15.5 sacks (lead the nation) and missed 2 or 3 games due to injury at the end of the year. Either way, I wouldn't mind someone falling to us to sure up our Dline and maybe give us some talent to groom.

Dixon caught my eye a while back, but it seems like he's moving into the late 1st, early 2nd round discussion unfortunately. Hope that's not the case.

Huh, well there you go. Seems like a plus.

It's actually that you just don't rule a guy out because of it. Is it unusual, yes, is it a deal breaker, I would say no, it just depends upon the player and story.
