NFL's Greg Aiello Doesn't Want the World to Know What Happened to the Footballs Saturday

Here's the GAMESETMATCH argument regarding all this.

The NFL KNOWINGLY INSTRUCTED a 3rd party (State Troopers) to be in possession of the footballs and transport them over 35 miles to the game within 65 minutes of the start of the game.

THIS IS A VIOLATION.

Gameday: Behind the Scenes | NFL Football Operations

"2 hours, 15 minutes: Each club provides at least 12 like-new, properly prepared Wilson official NFL footballs to the referee for inspection; in inclement weather, the home team must provide 24, and the visiting club has the option to provide 24 as well. At the same time, representatives of the home and visiting teams can inspect the kicking balls (K-balls) that the officials received directly from Wilson Sporting Goods."

Folks, this was a PLAYOFF GAME.

The NFL violated it's stated regulations for the handling of football equipment. They did not delay the start of this playoff game to comply with the 2:15 rule.

There is no ".....was more probable than not.....being at least generally aware...."

It is right there in black and white.

It's established that the NFL violated the chain of custody regarding footballs, which they have spent the last year telling us is critical to the integrity of the game.

What will be more frustrating, the league treating this like it's no big deal or the media acting like nothing unusual happened?

It's just absolutely hilarious. Wrolstad is absolutely screwed though. He'll be doing Tennessee/Cleveland type games for the next few years.

Hope there is some way Kessler could make mention of this incident in the oral argument.

Yes, Wrolstad is really screwed and that's too bad as he really called a very decent game for the Pats. It makes me wonder if he left the balls behind on purpose as a way of showing the NFL leadership that 'the more probable than not' was just a bunch of BS. If so, he really deserves a medal.

I believe the Massachusetts State police should charge the NFL for delivering the footballs.

The cost ????

A 1st round pick in 2016 & a 4th in 2017 or Goodell's resignation sounds about right.

If Fivehead left his "wife's" HGH in Florida, would Obergruppenführer Kensil have called the police to transport it for him to Denver?

NFL response to ball security issues:

"Do as I say, not as I do"
Bingo. It's a losing battle. The MFL isn't some big, ethical corporation of wisemen who went to Havard for decades. They are ex players with an axe to grind. They are puppets for greedy owners who manipulate EVERYTHING that goes on in the league. And the public eats it up. And the dollars roll in. .... Jeez, I'm really starting to sound like a paranoid, conspirisist. What a love, hate relationship I gotten myself into. It's my own fault at this point. As others have said, it's going to be hard to follow this after TB and BB are gone.

Seriously, this is much ado nothing. Just like Deflategate.

The detail money they probably get just for the traffic exiting Gillette after games is probably mind-numbing. If I was getting that kind of work from the NFL, I'd be handling their balls too.

Giggity

Wonder if the NFL* will have "no comment" on this?

It's Patriot related so there's a chance.

but, it's not negative and Goodell's butt isn't in the sling so we'll get the mute cricket on this one.
