@jeffphowe: Pats inactives: Ryan Wendell, Trey Flowers, Bradley Fletcher, Rufus Johnson, Michael Hoomanawanui, Tavon Wilson, Travaris Cadet.

@MarkDanielsPJ: It's interesting to see Bradley Fletcher inactive. The Patriots might as well see what they have with Justin Coleman.

Rufus runs into kicker. Rufus sits.

Hooman : he hurt ?

Fletcher : not sad he is on bench.

Hooman inactive too. There goes the 4TE spread. And when do we get to see Trey Flowers in action? Just losing out on the numbers game I suppose. Nice to see Easley is, at least, available to play.

Reiss called it. They were lucky to end up with two starters, but slot corner is unfilled and Fletcher might be a reserve "big corner" for situations.

Not discouraged. Better than i though it would be after the exodus of so many CBs and quality like Revis. As long as they keep looking for a puzzle piece, I'm fine.

Run defense and CBs average? Pass rush promising, but work in progress. Safeties and linebackers-outstanding.

Thinking Belichick is going to give Fletcher another chance after this week this is a wakeup call to Fletcher but I would bet he is already looking ahead and looking at all viable options.
Fletchers career at least here may he coming to a end.

Biggest disappointment for me remains to be Flowers, not that he's done anything disappointing I'm just really excited to see what he can finally do after his pre-season dominance and the suspense is killing me.

He looked like the real deal, hope they're just being safe and with Easley returning there is too much pass rush depth ahead of him.

Only confused that Grissom is playing over him, especially when Grissom is being used as a 250lb DT, I have to think Flowers could fill that role far better.

Good job with relevant tweets. Still tweaking that pass receiving depth.

In my opinion, it's very hard to keep more than a few receivers active and involved in the passing game. If they can keep reliable options open among multiple receivers plus RB/receiver dion, 3rd down back White, whatever the hell Cadet is and two 2way huge TEs plus blocking
TEs, that's going to make for incredible, varied game plans.

If anyone can do it...

Let's be a tad cautious on Coleman, he's an undrafted rookie potentially playing in his first game.

On the other hand, if he looks good, I'm feeling fairly good about the longer term prospects of this secondary with Butler and two interesting rookies in Coleman and Darryl Roberts to go with McCourty, Harmon and Jordan Richards.

I know that many want Fletcher gone but I would rather have a veteran DB than a rookie against their young and tall WRs. I guess that if there was a game to try out the rookie Coleman, this one would make sense. I trust BB knows exactly what he is doing.

Re. Grissom v Flowers? Is it special teams that divides them I wonder?

I personally believe they're being safe with Flowers ailment, wasn't he only just removed from the injury report this week? Give him and a few others the bye week to rest fully, same thought process why despite being active I believe we'll see very little Easley this afternoon.

Mods. How can I 'like' and 'agree' the same post.

Are we ever gonna see flowers? I was hyped about him
