Just waiting for the first member of the idiot national media to sum everything up:

-Brady provided his emails
-Brady's emails were revealed the the public

-Brady did not provide his text messages
-Brady's text messages were not revealed to the public, only because he did not provide them
-Brady's text messages likely contained sensitive materials, including information about his kids and private, intimate exchanges with his wife

Yet after all this, their conclusion is:

BUT, BUT, BUT (wait for it)....

He should have turned over his phone too!!!

Yep. This thoroughly discredits any of the "what do you have to hide?!" nonsense about the phone. So let's see here what do they have on Brady?

Oh right. "The deflator" text from
McNally coming from a man who calls his friend a "Dorito dink". Compelling stuff.

I think when the Wells report contained texts of McNally to his mom (that had no relevance) it pretty much confirmed Wells ran a smear campaign.

I've said before, Brady is far more polite than I would have been. I would have told Wells to **** himself and smashed the phone in front of him. I wouldn't consider that evidence he's hiding something, but I would consider it the actions of a reasonable person when confronted with an a**hole.

That should have been obvious to the planet.

At this point, Tom has been punished enough (for a crime with no evidence he committed)

This is all on the commissioner Goodell. He has no control of this situation. There are few people in this world I despise more. He is so unqualified for the position he holds.

Not only is there no evidence Tom is guilty of violating a rule, there is no evidence a rule has even been violated.

And yet in spite of that every personal email Tom Brady has written the in the last however long is there for the world to see.

The more I read the more I am convinced that everything following Mort's release of info was done so to make the subsequent narrative fit the allegation...

But I still believe that the actual target is BB and they had hoped to make him culpable..

If the NFL leaked the emails to tmz, you're right. Do we know this to be true?

I hate to make such an assumption, even if it SEEMS likely based upon how they operate. We have plenty of ammunition, even if we only stick with verified FACTS.

It looks like the emails were part of the exhibits attached to the transcript and therefore in the public domain on pacer (the federal courts' public docket). If that's the case (which seems likely based on the header across the email), the NFLPA released them.

That doesn't, however, negate Brady's right to privacy and to not give up his cell phone...

I wonder at this point how bad the next CBA negotiations will be. With every slanderous action the players gain something next time. Brady will forever be a hero to the next generations of NFL playerss ... this will be discussed for many years .... it will be the players Alamo. If only more of them would step up and get vocal now.

There are numerous reports that the NFLPA released them.

Bradys team released his emails along with the transcript of his hearing not the nfl.. The point of which was to show the full extent of his cooperation despite wells and goddell saying hes hiding something... So i am afraid you are gonna have to wait forever for someone in the media to piece it together the way you wanted

It depends how this ends. Brady may go down as the guy who guaranteed the NFL could pretend they have subpoena power over players.
If he loses, no player will ever be able to deny any request by anyone affiliated with the league, because it will be proven that the league is allowed to use that to consider everything you say not credible, and actually use your denial as proof of guilt.

It was the NFLPA that released them.

It became necessary due to Goodell lying in his written response to the Appeal, and his gross mishandling of this from Day 1.

Even before the Ray Rice debacle I always felt Goodell was incapable of doing this job.

Everything he has done since has only proven my feelings correct.

I'm disgusted that the emails have been released (edit: not that the NFLPA released them, but that the NFL has orchestrated such a clusterf*ck as to necessitate their release) and am making an effort to avoid reading any of them.

No, these are from the court documents. If anything, it makes it even more of an argument not to give your text messages to them since this release of his emails were the result of standard judicial procedure. No leaks, but the info is still circulated to the tabloid crazy public. His text messages would have had the same fate. I'm sure that is one major reason he did not want to turn over his texts...maybe there were some controversial or embarrassing things on there.

His team didn't "release" the emails, nor did the NFLPA. They opted to enclose it is part of evidence, which became public record since it was not under seal. So, yes, it probably could have been withheld, but if so, they would not be able to demonstrate a high degree of cooperation and compliance with the requested evidence.

I'm pretty sure Brady's lawyers advised him his personal life could leak out and be on display if they move forward on this.

imo Brady was willing to do this to clear his name. Haters gonna hate but I think if anything it shows many fans what their league is really about. Brady has thrown some good punches and left the NFL with more than a few black eyes, exposing them for what they are. Can't wait for Concussions to come out Xmas day so we can pile on some more.

Fukn story has gotten more run then Peterson/Rice combined. What a travesty.

Let's not forget that Ted Wells released Brady's private cellphone number with his report (well, Wells didn't properly redact the info and it was apparent what it was)

That - plus the NFL's now proven history of having someone in their office who hates the Patriots leak info - would be enough for any reasonable person to say "No, I'm not going to create a new precedent for other guys in the NFLPA and subject myself, friends and family to abuse when you leak information and/or take anything you can out of context"

Add to that the fact that when Robert Mueller was conducting his investigation to determine if Goodell in fact did know that Ray Rice had beaten his fiance unconscious (Goodell claims Rice lied to him about that - thus he was the one person in the universe ignroant of that and hence his slap on the wrist suspension - despite the fact that the Police Report contained this information) Mueller wanted Goodell's official and private cellphone

Goodell provided his NFL phone

Goodell refused to provide his personal cellphone

Amazing but true - Goodell wouldn't share his private cell but has based his "guilty" finding on the fact that Brady did exactly what Goodell did

Apparently the NFLPA was actually pushing to release the transcripts early on - but the NFL was opposed

The reason why seems pretty obvious - but that's not to say private information like cellphone numbers and other information can't be redacted (was his excel spreadsheet with Giselle's number in there? If so can someone pass that on to me? ;)

I didnt want to get all lawyerly so i said released.. But i wasnt expecting to get into a semantic argument about the word released.. They were essentially released to the public along with his transcripts because they were submitted as evidence in his case... And since the judge said he would not seal documents the public gets to see them... I hope this clears up any concerns had about my use of the word release.

Sounds good... are are clear on that. Now can you elaborate on the word "deflator" :)
