Greg Hardy - 26 years old , 6-4, 275 pounds
Played 1 game this season due to domestic violence issues - Judge dismissed case

Stats from 2012-2013 (2014 basically a missed season)
G GS Comb Total Ast Sack Pas Def FF
2013Carolina Panthers16 13 59 39 20 15.0--1----0.0----1
2012Carolina Panthers15 10 61 41 20 11.0--2----0.0----2

What would you pay for his services and is he worth it?
Do we risk anything by signing him (i.e could he still be suspended at all?)

He would improve our D-Line tremendously.

yes and It would be a one year 6 million dollar contract. he can come in have a 15 sack season and then go get over paid by some other team

I'd welcome him to walk through open elevator doors on the 20th floor when the car was on the 21st.

Granted what he was accused of is awful
According to Holder, “On May 13, 2014, Greg Hardy attacked me in his apartment. Hardy picked me up and threw me into the tile tub area in his bathroom. I have bruises from head to toe, including my head, neck, back, shoulders arms, legs, elbow and feet. Hardy pulled me from the tub by my hair, screaming at me that he was going to kill me, break my arms and other threats that I completely believe. He drug me across the bathroom and out into the bedroom. Hardy choked me with both hands around my throat while I was lying on the floor. Hardy picked me up over his head and threw me onto a couch covered in assault rifles and/or shotguns. I landed on those weapons. Hardy bragged that all of those assault rifles were loaded. Landing on those weapons bruised [my] neck and back. Hardy screamed for his “administrative assistant” (Sammy Curtis) to come into the room and hold me down. Curtis came into the room, grabbed me from behind and held me down. Hardy and Curtis then took me into the living room area. I wasn’t nearly strong or fast enough to escape. I begged them to let me go & I wouldn’t tell anyone what he did. They took me out into the hall, pushed me down & went back inside his apartment.

However, The charges against Hardy were dismissed on February 9, 2015 after the accuser failed to show for court.

We must ask, why did the accuser not show to court? Was this confabulated? Scared?

I believe any man who does this is a vile pig and should be pushed off a sky scraper however, according to the Judicial system if not convicted... you know.. he's innocent??

Ponder that!

On June 15, 2014, Hardy was convicted of assaulting his partner Nicole Holder.[14] According to Holder, “On May 13, 2014, Greg Hardy attacked me in his apartment. I begged them to let me go & I wouldn’t tell anyone what he did. They took me out into the hall, pushed me down & went back inside his apartment. I crawled to the elevator and ran into CMPD (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department) Hardy exercised his right under North Carolina law to appeal the conviction.[15]After playing Week 1, Hardy was deactivated Week 2 against the Detroit Lions.[16] On September 17, 2014 Hardy agreed to be placed on the exempt list. He continued to draw a salary of $13.1 million in spite of being ineligible to play in NFL games or practice with the Panthers.[17] The charges against Hardy were dismissed on February 9, 2015 after the accuser failed to show for court.[18]

Only place that I'd welcome him to is jail.

Greg, when your phone's not ringing, you'll know it's Bill... not calling.

Jesus H. Christ. He was convicted in June, appealed, and then settled with her. He's a scumbag.

A legal ruling has literally nothing to do with real-life innocence or guilt of an act.

Always remember, first blame the victim.

Ponder that!

Greg Hardy has 6 interested teams, looming as one of the more talented available FA. May take a visit.

Well, teams are still interested in him but I doubt the Patriots will be one.

I usually donot care about what players do off the field, but the things this dude allegedly did, is the type of person I want no part of, ever!

Yeah, I'd welcome him. He'd probably come cheap as well.

Yes. Without hesitation.

I think it's a big problem that he's getting off like he is, because it really doesn't seem like he's innocent. That being said, all 32 NFL organizations pay ****ty people a lot of money. We just don't know about most of it. Sign the beast.

Sure, I would take him. I can live with him being maybe a bad person as long as he plays hard, is talented, and is a good teammate.

I would not welcome him to NE.

Not a chance in hell. I'd be disgusted if we signed him.

This is one of those litmus tests for people who take their sports too seriously.
