"Hey Pete, break the rules, I wouldn't but you go ahead" He's either senile or suspect, I'm sure it's a lot of both...He says he would coach his team to fake injuries to buy time.
"Dungy said that, if he were coaching the Seahawks, he’d reluctantly tell the players to fake defensive injuries in the Super Bowl to counter New England’s tactic.
“It’s something I’m totally against doing but I would certainly tell my players to do it rather than have the NFL issue an apology the next day after we lost a Super Bowl,” Dungy said, adding he would do it only as a last resort."
Or the meaning of the word "Totally"I think the funniest (or stupidest) part is him saying he's 'TOTALLY AGAINST IT' then immediately says he'd do it. Does he not know the meaning of against. Like he didnt even take 2 seconds and flip flopped.
It'd be the biggest flop in history (in any sport). He says he would coach his team to fake injuries to buy time.

Hard to fake an injury when the play is over and getting into the next play. What are they going to do, have 2 people run into each other and have one fake the injury?
Pete Caroll says its a smart and legal play but dungy has an issue with it...fix the officials.
"I would break the rules to prevent somebody from doing something that doesn't break the rules."
Yeah, Dungy- that really is cheating you scumbag.
Of course not...as PFT says "if a great person like dungy says he will cheat, it means the rule must be changed"Tony Dungy would tell his players to cheat.
He is a defensive head coach. Provide a solution for the defense and prove your worth. Not ask to fake injuries or change rules. Same old colt ****. whine whine.Interesting comment by PC.
I actually have no problem with Dungy saying the league should make changes to the rule to accommodate defenses (if that is one thing he is saying). Maybe the Patriots have found a loophole that is best tightened up. Yet a head coach whining about a team using the fringe area of rules/regulations to gain an edge??? Pushing the envelope, adapting, improvising, keeping only one toe on the line while the rest of you is leaning heavily over the line is, IMHO, explicitly a head coach's responsibility.
Dungy should, if he had strength of character, praise BB for superb HCing/for his creative usage of the formation. Dungy should do this even if he also believes the league should tighten up the rules surrounding it, he should do this even if he dislikes BB.
