That was a big hit.

There was another one in the 3rd quarter when Connolly was pulling right and he just popped the linebacker. It wasn't as violent looking as Bolden's but the audio captured it well.

Yeah I hope that guy is alright - that was an exclamation point of a hit. Bolden is a force on ST's.

Shame the talk about this hit got lost in the stupid debate about the air in the ball.
That was a jump out of the seat hit for us.

During the game they reported that Studebaker was spitting up blood. I love big hits but I don't want anyone spitting up blood. I'm cool w/ concussions and a few broken bones, but I draw the line at spitting up blood and torn acls.

He was heard mumbling "Like a good neighbor state farm is there."

Yikes—he looks like one of the tackling dummies they use in the "Sport Science" spots on ESPN. . . .

It was so hard and legal and awesome that I was shocked it didn't draw a flag.

And was questionable to return. Seriously? If a career STer is spitting up blood in a blowout loss, can't we just safely rule him out for the rest of the night?

The truly good news is that Andy Studebaker is fine. And, yes, I waited a day before making this thread so as to make sure he was ok first. Was praying for the young man when he was taken off the field.

He was up and was tweeting yesterday.

I was thinking this hit was a 15 yarder not that it really mattered since I believe the game was out of hand at the time. I thought it was illegal to hit guys from the side as they are tracking the ball carrier on a ST return. Guys used to get jacked up all the time, usually resulting in concussions on plays like these, until they started calling it unneccesary roughness. I may have misinterpreted the rule though.

The vid you are referring to was Kyle Love demolishing KC Chief OL Ryan Lilja (as pointed out by I.C. in his post) a couple of years ago during an interception.
