Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril are dangerous…. but they're no Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyora, Justin Tuck, Jason Pierre Paul.

Heck, they're not even Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata, and Elvis Dummervil.

Up the middle they're a bit soft. Not terrible like the Colts, but our run game shouldn't be completely shut down like it was against the Ravens.

Brady shouldn't be on the ground every time he drops back.

Their secondary is the bigger worry. Kam Chancellor is one of the few Safeties in the league who can make Gronk think twice about going over the middle. Richard Sherman is tall enough and fast enough to man up on Gronk. But can they cover Edelman, Vereen, Lafell, and Amendola? That's the question.

On the opposite end of the coin…. our defense has had issues stopping the run, and Marshawn Lynch is just incredible. Luckily the Seahawks WR's aren't amazing, so hopefully we can sell out to stop the run and make Wilson beat us with his arm. He threw 4 picks today and our DB's are better than Green Bays. This would be a dangerous game with Golden Tate, but with him gone, we have a better chance against their WR.

This is a great matchup. Two gritty teams in the SB?! Too bad that doesn't happen more often.

Definitely a great matchup. I think we can limit what they do offensively, and score enough on their defense to win.

I'm much more confident with this matchup than I would've been with Green Bay.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Sherman's injury.

Excellent analysis MrNathanDrake... This game should be one for the ages.. I hope we get to see Tim Wright show up and do for us here what Amendola did in the game against the Ravens (though I'm not holding my breath). Anyhow, I'm just happy that we're in another Superbowl..

And Supa, last week, I do believe you stated that you'd rather see the Hawks in the SB than the Packers, due to the fact that GB has more offensive weapons and because Rodgers is a top 5 QB. Do you stand by that viewpoint following this NFCCG? Either matchup was going to be difficult, but numerous posters on here have *and not without basis* cited Seattle as the last team we wanted to face.

Stopping Lynch and containing Russell Wilson from scrambling are keys on defense.

On offense, if Seahawks do put Sherman on Gronk man, I hope Pats run at him. Gronk fears no one as long as they are diving at his knees.

Yes, sir.

I believe that our defense can really limit what SEA can do offensively, and that we can score enough points to win.

I respect the other side of the coin, but I just felt as though we'd have to get into a shootout with Rodgers, whereas Brady put up almost 400 yds himself the last time we faced them (on the road, FWIW).

I also believe they are much more prone to losing away from their friendly confines.

I'm almost certain that Chancellor will be on Gronk most times. I can't see Sherman covering him.

Totally on board with your 1st sentence though.

I'm with supa, or supa's supposed stance, for your above reasons.

No way they single up a hobbled Sherman on Gronk. If anything we run a bunch at him and hope Gronk can toss him out the club, and test that arm early. Follow it up with a bubble screen, Gronk in front again.

If anything, I want Gronk testing his physicality early, mix it up after that (whether three and out or a sustained drive) and go after him with short **** with Lafell/Gronk/Hooman(can't believe I said that, but he was split wide multiple times tonight)

We're going to be watching the greatest QB of a generation go against the greatest defense of a generation. The winner will likely be remembered as the GOAT - either Brady cements his legacy as the games greatest winner or Seattle repeats on the shoulders of a defense that shut down Brees, Manning, Rogers and Brady in consecutive postseasons.

On paper, this stacks up as the best Super Bowl matchup since when? Favre vs. Elway?
