My projection is around 8 wins. We were 8-9 in 2022 and while this is still not a good team, its alot closer to that than what they were last year. Judon has been our clear cut mvp since 2021. Bourne and Gonzalez were extremely important to us given what little was behind them. So was trent...
Assuming we can keep our defense together through resigning the key guys, 2026 is a reasonable goal for contending if maye is a legit starter.
2025 you focus on completing the OL with whatever doesn’t work out this year, devote multiple high picks if need be.
2026 you go all in for a #1 wr...
predictable move but relieved to see it.
Ryland was awful last year and the new kr rules kind of devalues the cannon leg. Still deserves a shot in preseason though. Or if we start out 0-4 id be tempted to keep him either way :)
My dream scenario would be a small edit from yours and that is sow being a capable RT allowing onwenu to move back to RG. Would gladly take your scenario though, that’s a pretty solid starting 5 and im quite comfortable with the depth at tackle.
Honestly That has to be his floor barring injuries. 3 sacks and 3 TFL. Tough to hit fa after a year like that. Might as well give yourself one more shot to get a legit payday
I see, didn’t know mayo said that. Guess we’ll see. When i think about it, it really can’t get much worse than burrow and Lawrence’s rookie years, then both won playoff games year 2. Got to be able to handle adversity, but at the same time you want the situation to improve for him within a...
Remains to be seen if weve fixed anything or not but they have made moves. 2024 should be used to evaluate the OL, mostly LT and the new additions. If you don’t like what you have prioritize LT in 25.
Id keep maye on the bench until we are confident in the pass blocking, no rush
he could be betting on himself too. If he has a repeat of 2022 with judon back and hits fa next year, he’ll get alot more than 11m guaranteed . If he has another meh year he’ll probably get a little less but the loss is probably not as big as the upside.
Correct, this will all boil down to whether we did enough at LT. If chuk, wallace, or Anderson isn’t the answer that should be priority in 2025. But qb and wr have been well addressed fortunately , hopefully they pan out!
