I'm in firm agreement with the OP. We need weapons for Brady. If Edelman leaves, I think it is imperative we get Steve Smith. Regardless, we need a second TE, which I think makes for a better WR core in itself due to the pressure that'll be taken off of guys on the outside.

My assessment, which is in line with the consensus, is that both are late one, early two guys. Selecting them at #29 overall falls in line with that expectation.
