The rumour is that the Broncos received a call about a potential 3 way deal involving TB. MCD wanted to do the deal to get his guy but Xanders did not. After much deliberation, Xanders put the kibosh to the deal as he has full authority over personnel.

FWIW, rumour is MCD wanted Cassel and Xanders nixed the idea.

It's kind of strange when Denver has one of the best neck specialists in the world (Dr. Robert Watkins) who clears him to play and he flunks a physical in New York.

Because Paul Ernster had a great start to the season and then faded once Sauerbrun was cut.

That just came to mind also. He has a new agent and chances are the contract will probably be re-done.

It's possible because there were rumblings about a month ago that they wanted him as part of the Bly deal. Broncos might have put the story out there to drive up his value or Wilson could have failed his physical.

Bates is a big addition also and the offseason isn't over yet.

The DPost is reporting that Wilson is in NY right now taking a physical, so the deal will become official soon....no mention of what's coming back.

The pundits are putting them there because they are trying to surround him with weapons to take the pressure off him (Henry, Graham etc) not because of Cutler alone. The addition of Bates should help their defense but they still need improvement there.
