So, after now two days reflection, I have less clear thoughts on the matter.
On the one hand, the "scientific" analysis done by the hired guns, Exponent, is flawed and easily debunked. I actually think the scientific evidence is still in our favor. The fact that they landed on this Exponent...
I agree. But I'm just trying to shrink the parameter space in which Brady is actually guilty of something, which is what his goal should be now. He shouldn't hang his hat on the word of these two ball guys.
I think that's an extreme take on it DaBruinz, but I agree with the rest of your sentiment.
It's still very possible to me that the Patriots did no wrongdoing. The science leaves that open, the report is not satisfying in this regard. If there is wrongdoing, it is still very possible that Brady...
So is the media ****show going to raze Salem State tonight? I'm glad there's not more pressing issues going on right now like serious problems with race in our country, or general global turmoil, I wouldn't want the press to miss it.
Question: Why is it so hard to believe that the two Patriots ball boys could've done something without Brady's awareness when the two communicated privately together quite frequently, and in one game unbeknownst to Brady the balls came out like rugby balls?
Question: If McNally threatened he wasn't going to "go to ESPN...yet" with what Wells presumes is some kind of wrong-doing on behalf of the Patriots, why wasn't four interviews enough to get him to throw somebody under the bus? Do they really think some sneakers and a jersey is going to do it?
The game you reference is the home game vs. the Jets. McNally would've been the last guy to touch the balls that game. Presumably, he's annoyed by Brady's standards on the balls. Unfortunately for the NFL, nowhere does anyone say that those standards are below 12.5. In fact, the bar is only set...
Well done Curran. Great stuff.
It's well-documented Curran is probably the media guy closest to Brady. I am sure Brady is telling Curran he didn't do anything wrong, and Curran - like all of us who have a general sense of Brady after 15 years - is apt to believe him.
The other thing I don't understand is why the absence of texts between McNally and Jastremski where they talk about doing anything under 12.5 isn't considered evidence that McNally was simply targeting that PSI. Those guys clearly were willing to discuss anything via text, so why isn't there...
