You don't know how many times I battled for Julian over the years. I guy by the handle of "Scratch" in ESPN was adamant that NE was phasing him out and refused to listen to reasoned arguments that Edelman's inactivity was due, in part, to injuries and redundancy with Welker. It all came to a head in 2013 when I wrote an article for Patsfootballfans.com explaining why I thought Michael Jenkins was camp fodder and nothing more. (Yes, that was a unconventional opinion at the time
) In that article, I explained why I thought Edelman provided more value, but Scratch would have none of it and a flare up ensued.
To date I haven't returned to the site, so I have no idea how his opinion has changed since then.
