Too Funny: Curran Corners Kensil

Stop with these threads. You're all obsessed. There's a football game on Sunday and its an important one.

People have posted pictures of him on the sidelines since Monday. The Colts GM handed him the ball. Everyone knows this.

People are grasping at hope the same exact way they did with the last couple of scandals that we've had (Hernandez + Camera Gate).

I can't say that I blame them, since I'm grasping at hope right along with them, but this talk of "rubbing their noses in it," and taking their first round pick is completely ridiculous. How would they go about proving that Kensil did anything wrong? Short answer: there's probably an excellent chance that they can't.

Are we skeptical of Kensil and his involvement? Of course...but the rest of the world is skeptical of the Patriots, so we'll have to see who wins this standoff.

If people can't figure out by now that the NFL firmly believes that funny business happened with the Pats to blame, they are living in a fantasy world. They've done nothing to quiet the rumors during their most important time of the year. As a matter of fact, they're adding fuel to the fire by leaking information on a daily basis.

Hardly obsessed. My level of obsession has dropped significantly since Belichick's press conference on Saturday, spiking only during the late afternoon hours yesterday.

Just thought this was interesting, and if nothing else, the thought of the idea that Kensil staged this situation put a smile on my face.

like it or not this is the story of this SuperBowl and when we win it, it will be real sweet.

That's part of the bonus.......as long as there is a perception that the pats can only win if they cheat, there will be some additional anger in the locker room.......I would love for the pats to play angry and get under the skin of the seahawks.......

I sincerely doubt Kensil was on the sideline tampering with balls. Crap thread.

I agree. This is why it's hard to know what the hell to believe.

We're getting both extreme sides of the spectrum, with very little realistic information in the middle.

One would think that they would stop leaking all this information but that's never going to happen

Apparently they like tarnishing the legacy of the NFL

The NFL wants the Pats to be guilty, and are trying to make it look like they are. I doubt many of them truly believe the Pats are at fault. This was a setup that went bad. I'm not sure if Goodell was in on it from the start, but he certainly is now.

Wasn't Goodell at kraft's house on Sunday night after the afccg?

If he was on it talk about a conflict of interest

I agree.......but somebodies nose is going to have to be rubbed in it. All I want for Christmas is to have every Troy Aikman, Mark Brunell, Jerry Rice, Tony Kornholer be dragged out/called out for being the biggest idiots on the planet

Don't forget Woody Page and Bomani Jones.

We could easily come up with a list of about 100 names who have voiced their opinion on the Patriots guilt.

It's sad.

i don't get the conflict of interest thing. he works for the owners. this isn't goverment.

Yes. He was.

I also believe that he was at both the BAL and IND playoff games as well.

the list is pretty endless.......which makes it even better.

if you think about it, the pats are in the clear and over time, this is going to go sideways......I could see this playing out where if Kraft is not satisfied, he's would do something like refuse access to his team for media until someone's head rolls in the league office. The main reason we are even watching football is because Kraft stepped in and did what Goodell was unable to do.......get the new CBA done. there's going to be friction, and if this comes down to Kraft vs Goodell, I think Goodell would wind up being replaced

Curran wrote a good piece on this angle…Certainly a detail the NFL's investigation should look into. The problem is that this whole thing has never been about revealing the truth. If it was, all they'd have to do is conduct some scientific studies detailing what the balls went through on game day just like Belichick outlined last Saturday. This is the obvious way to clear the Patriots of any wrong doing. The fact that they haven't done this is very telling…The league office doesn't want to clear the Patriots of any wrong doing. They are after Belichick's head.

just look at media day the only people that care about deflate gate is ESPN and FOX if we stop talking about it. it will go away

yeah, it's not relevant here. He's hired by the owners to work for the league and protect their financial interests. But that's been the problem with the Ray Rice incident being the perfect example. He was protecting the owners rather than doing what was right.

So the Sting was on from the beginning. Interesting
Why does it have to be a sting? Why cant it be random prick with grudge in position of power decides "i dont want that A-hole Belichick in the superbowl, lets see if he and his team can deal with this **** in the middle of a game"?

Some names matter, others less. Phil Simms unfortunately chose to call Brady a liar.

Everything rests on the PSI of the balls.

This would almost make the whole thing worth it if there's proof Indy allowed this. Irsay and Pagano should both be banned from the league if they played roles in it. Although tbh I don't think Pagano would be. I could be very very wrong I just to get that feeling from him that he's a crook.
