On a serious note, I agree that BB will draft a successor several years before
brady retires. We can only hope it turns out as well as it did for green bay.
I don't see why it couldn't happen, a great coach and a great quarterback as mentors, along with a stable organization....whoever comes next will have no excuse if they don't succeed.

Rookie contracts max out at 4-6 years...May be even less under a new CBA because their first contract will be slotted. A QB worth keeping would probably command a starters contract or franchise tag after 3-4 years, kind of like Cassel did, and Brady will likely command another extension that will result in $18M+ cap hits for him alone say from 2013-2016...
One of the unique aspects of what happened in Green Bay was that because Brett never showed up for camps Rogers at least got all the first team reps until the pre season. That would never happen with Brady. If he's here and healthy he gets all the first team reps and he plays most if not all of the snaps. Even in SF Young was in and out of the lineup for 4 years due to various injuries to Montana. And even without a cap they had to move one and retain one because paying both was too costly. I know SD paid two for a couple of years...but then again they have yet to win anything in the process... Maybe that Rivers draft pick and double QB salaries would have been better spent elsewhere and put them over the top...
