I don't know if the Pats have any interest, but it is interesting that the Chargers used a clause that says that when he is healthy in a few weeks they have to cut him and make him a free agent. Didn't know there was a clause for that.

If he is willing to play for the veteran minimum the rest of the way, I might give it a shot. I don't know if Belichick would though.

Is the question whether Merriman would be more valuable on the 53 for the last half of the year than Crable? or more valuable than Fletcher?

Only if he uses those 6 weeks to juice himself back to prime form.

As is, he would come with high salary expectations for mediocre to subpar results. He also might be an Adalius-type locker room presence for that money. Pass.

Nah. I think his days as a pass rusher are over. He may have some utility as a downhill ILB but I think we're set there.

I don't think its a "juice" problem. It looks like he's still playing injured.

I see him going to the Jets. He'd fit right in too!

I'd love to see him here in tip-top form but attitude wise I don't see it happening.
