The Chargers are the worst fan base in my eyes. Even with a team predicted to be a Super Bowl contender, they can't sell out. They have troubles selling out playoff games. Jacksonville is worse in attendance, but at least they have the excuse that they weren't good last year and aren't expected to be all that good this year.

It was between Jets and Eagles fans, but the Jets won because they are so delusional about their team and so obnoxious when talking to other teams fans or about other teams....of course that goes for most NY teams fans.

My friends that are Steelers, Chargers, or Eagles fans at least respect other teams players and coaches success. Jets fans are just beyond hope.

Every team has obnoxious fans, there just seem to be more obnoxious Jets fans than any other. Tough to understand such arrogance from a team with a franchise playoff record of 9-7. The Steelers at least have 5 Superbowl wins.

disagree. i grew up in Philly. the eagles fans are knowledgeable and passionate. you really can't use "obnoxious to other teams" as the sole criterion (and Iggles fans are obnoxious, God love 'em), but have to weigh their obnoxiousness against their knowledge of the game, otherwise we'd all be in trouble by that criterion from time to time...

...and if you're using the behavior of a couple hundred drunks in Jacksonville as the bellweather, well i suspect every super bowl team has fans at the venue who aren't the best representatives of the fanbase...i'm sure the eagles messageboards were full of stories of obnoxious pats fans, especially after the W was put up...

i think that's a good perspective since you allow a fan base's knowledge of the game to offset its otherwise obnoxious behavior....let's face it, to other teams' fans, the fans of the opposition, especially if the opposition is a winning team, look obnoxious...

Steelers were a consideration for me. I think the sheer size of their fanbase means that you're going to see more dillweeds. Then again, after the Steelers won convincingly in Gillette last year, I had good interactions with the Steelers fans that stayed until the final whistle (since I think we were some of the only Pats fans left).

For me, it's the Cowboys. A very high percentage are so arrogant and obnoxious. Also, I find that, as a rule, Cowboys fans have less knowledge about the game and don't appreciate the Xs and Os at all. Ignorance combined with arrogance and volume gets my vote for worst fans.
