There is no similarity to the Yankees and I am offended that you would make the comparison.

Even if brady comes back next year, we still have glaring holes in the secondary. Not only that, the guys we drafted to replace asante samuel are midgets themselves. Chambers absolutely owned our CBs last night. Our oline is just a bunch of country boys that will be a year older next year. When I look back at what happened to the yankees and think about how something similar may happen to us, it absoltely makes me nauseous.
That’s ridiculous to compare a team with no salary cap limitations to a team in a league that must abide by the salary cap

Also Brian Cashman is an idiot that simply obtains the current best players in the open market throws them together and expects compatibility

Cashman is far from an idiot. It's that overbearing Steinbrenner that demands stupid moves.

You give a decent GM 220 million to put together a team they should be able to lead you to the playoffs

This isn't the place for it, but if it was all up to Cashman he wouldn't continue to trade away their farm.

I'm offended that you just compared the Pats to them.

Well, we could stop acting like we're entitled to championships.

[Of course, right now, the Pats, unlike the Yankees, (still) have to contend with a salary cap.]

i am not really comparing the pats situation to that of the yanks. but i am afraid that that comparison might have some merit in a few years. the point i am trying to make is that it is very tough to get the magic back that made your team successful. every great dynasty has magic for a little while and then it disappears. the packers, steelers and 49ers and cowboys were never able to get that magic back after their dynasties. i know the steelers won a few years ago but that was like 30 years after their dynasty ended. the niners won in 94 too i think.
