I think Mularkey did a terrible job and isn't NFL head coach material, but I think only one year is a little fast. Especially considering that he was without his best player (MJD) for more than two thirds of the season. He inherited Gabbert and that f'ed up QB situation; despite the very strong rookie QB class, Mularkey certainly would have raised eyebrows had he invested in a new starter a year after the team spent a top 10 pick on a QB.

Agreed. Those 4th/short plays against the jints were a feckin joke. I was shocked that Jax hired
this stiff in the first place.

Without Mularkey this year, Atlanta is using all of the weapons at their disposal. The SeaHags
won't know what hit them this weekend.

Ownership will likely give him only one more year to clean up his/their act.

Given he just hired that GM and that Tebow was undoubtedly a topic in the conversation, I'd say so. Given the owner's previous statements about wanting Tebow, were I interviewing for the GM position and were I Tebow averse, I'd absolutely bring up the topic and get a clear resolution before accepting the job.

I totally disagree. There's no position Tebow plays that a specialist at that position doesn't play much better. Did you see how lost Tebow looked on that one pass that Sanchez threw his way this year? Admittedly he was late turning to look for the ball - but that's rather the point, isn't it?

Tebow is a jack of all trades without enough mastery of any given one to become a starter (although someone may give him a backup role). He's mini-Mack Herron from the 70s without the same talent level - you have to adapt your team to him in order to get good value but then you can't optimize anyone else's role on the team. This is not what the Patriots (or almost any NFL team) is looking for.
