I always bust on him, but I feel sad for the guy. He's a joke, but he is a dedicated fan. Jets fans generally are horrible. I stopped going to games there for the same reason he's stepping down. It must really suck to be Jezt fan

You're just as sad as the people that heckle him for calling him a 'joke' really, aren't you?

Whilst he annoyed the heck out of me...might be worth mentioning he only started annoying me when the Jets all of a sudden started competing with and beating us as well as running their mouths....he's hardly a joke. Guy spent a lot of time and money in to something he loved.

Much respect for that. Not going to lie though, I won't miss the pointless chanting!

Joe B and Evan meltdown on the Jets Pats this AM.

CBS Podcast Player

Epic meltdown.

The Jets as hosed as long as Johnson is the owner, as a Pats fan I know about owners from the outhouse to the current penthouse.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

They remain tied with the Houston Oilers for AFC East Division titles

I think that says it all.

I'm just hoping Woody Johnson keeps Wrecks, Sanchez and Tebow together for the forseeable future. I'm even inclined to buy a PSL on the condition he keep that circus going.

It's pathetically hilarious as to watch as a non-Jets fan and more than worth the price I'd pay for a PSL.

This will be temporary - the minute the Jets are worth rooting for again - Ed will be his old self. He is annoying, but I would love to have a beer with the guy - not sure why, but he seems like the type of guy you could enjoy a brewski with. Maybe I do know why.

This is a textbook example of why the Jets organization and Jets fans suck. I don't like Ed either, I find him annoying as a battery acid enema. But you have to admit, the guy is a ridiculously loyal fan, and the other fans around him are giving him crap because he supports the team's QB (the horror! ) These people are so clueless. Do they really think bringing that overhyped clown Tebow is going to turn their season around and get them to the Super Bowl?!

What makes it worse is we wouldn't even be talking about this if Woody hadn't made such a stupid decision in the first place. "Oh, Mark Sanchez is our guy! He's our franchise! He will definitely take us to the promised land! Wait, Tebow's available? Well bring him over! But Mark is still our guy, I'm sure the fans won't start chanting for Tebow after Mark's first incompletion."

And yet they can't understand why Bill Belichick wanted no part of being their head coach...

Rex Ryan is a genius.

He proved that football can be therapeutic by making things so bad that the most fanatical fan of a pro franchise abdicated his role as the chief lunatic in a stadium packed with 65,000 drunk schizophrenics wearing green and eye black.

Maybe, after he gets fired, Rex ought to see what he can do for those poor sick bastards dressed in Kiss costumes out in Oakland.
