Default Asomugha to JEST a good thing!??!

Take off your homer hats for a few minutes and imagine Nnamdi to the Jets. If you are a football purist you gotta love the idea of TB going up against the best secondary in modern history 2-3x a year dontcha?? New York/Boston, Belichick/Ryan, Offense/Defense, so many story lines. There is so much more satisfaction in beating a good team than a crappy team, right? I dont expect everyone to be so bold as to emplore competition, but isnt that what we watch football for to begin with?

I approve as long as they don't get Asomugha AND Holmes or Edwards. Asomugha and Revis don't scare me when Sanchez is throwing to Cotchery and Kerley.

This is the pro game, not the local "Y". I don't care about the competition. If the Patriots could face a schedule with all 16 games against teams with losing records, I'd be thrilled.

Settle down GN.

IIRC, your Jests have been the 'free agency champions' before.

I understand the excitement of winning a divisional rd game 2 yrs in a row, and even more so b/c our team did not do that recently, but championships are not won in the divisional round.

That all said, you're a good guy--so I will just learn to deal with your excitement, I suppose.

most un-realist fans say that "anyone going to a rival is a good thing" because they like to brag and boast

but i like your approach to it, giving credit, saying you want to beat the best

nnamdi awesome-guy is a GREAT cb

but one man or even two, doesn't win games, teams do

well yeah, i wouldn't mind my chargers just being handed a lombardi lol

but it's nice to beat a truely good team, because deep down, every fan wants their team to be respected, even when they claim different.....

How is this a good thing?

Can you imagine how much blitzing Rex could do if he had both of those guys as his corners? It'd be a nightmare for Brady and this O-Line, especially with a rookie like Solder likely at LT or RT.

You think Rex is exotic on D now? Give him two CB's who can play on an island and watch what he does with his front 7.

Tom Brady has had all of one good game vs a Rex Ryan defense in his career. The 45-3 game. Other than that, Rex's defenses have made him looked confused and have pretty much given him more trouble than anyone else in the league.

I don't know why any Pats fan would want to watch Rex's D tee off on Brady and this O-Line with those two corners.
