Default Sanchez has tear in right shoulder..

Sorry if I put this in the wrong forum but it could make things easier for the Pats. Not that they needed it.

We don't play the Jets this week....got any injury reports from Buffalo?

Although given the board today...I could see how you might be confused about that.

I wonder when it occurred. If it happened BEFORE the Steelers game then the Jets don't have much to worry about as Sanchez appeared normal. If it occurred IN the Steelers game then this could be something to worry about for them, going forward. Sanchez already doesn't have a big arm. A tear in his shoulder would make it even worse.

This is sounding a lot like the Jets 2008 season where they started out strong, faded late, and blamed it on their QB's injury.

Sounds minor.

But if the jets ended up with a second noodle armed QB................well, you know.

I think it happened before the game. Looking at the play by play from the game he didn't throw many deep balls (only one completion) and his YPC was only 8 yards.

On Monday Ryan said the MRI 'showed it was a positive thing for us':

Jets QB Mark Sanchez has MRI on throwing shoulder, expected to play at Chicago | NJ.com

"Any time it's your quarterback, you're going to make sure he's OK," Ryan said. "The MRI showed it was a positive thing for us. He’ll be ready to play on Sunday. Will it limit him? I don’t know."

Ryan downplayed the injury and said he wasn't sure what to call it, settling on "sore shoulder." He emphasized the fact that Sanchez played the full game with it and joked that "I probably shouldn't have said anything."

Mark Sanchez has slight cartilage tear in right shoulder, but Jets QB says he'll play against Bears - NY Daily News

Quote:
Mark Sanchez suffered more than just a sore shoulder in the Jets' win against the Steelers on Sunday.

The Daily News has learned that Sanchez has a slight cartilage tear in his right shoulder. Sanchez admitted that "it didn't feel right" when he landed awkwardly on his throwing shoulder during a first-quarter run. Whether the cartilage damage will hamper the second-year quarterback for the remainder of the season is unclear.
So how exactly was that MRI a positive thing for Sanchez and the Jets?

It means Sanchez will be throwing less? That's got to be a positive for the Jets.

Yeah I know we don't play the Jets but aren't they the last team from clinching the top seed? If they lose, we win the the top seed no matter what happens in Buffalo...which is nice.
