Default Brett Favre leads the league in TD passes and QB rating

Guy is still at the top.

I kind of get embarrassed when I see posters on this board calling Favre "washed up, should of stayed retired, etc." Guy is a phenomenal player still, despite the fact he plays for the Rats.

Everytime the guy throws an incomplete pass this board blowing up with "Aha, good ol' Favre, probably regretting being back now!" just...stop. As far as his INTs go he has the same amount (4) as Cutler, Rivers, Romo, Brees and Peyton Manning do right now.

They went 2-2 in the first four games, as they were predicted to in the pre-season.

Jets are still a huge threat to us in the AFC East and can still win the division.

LOL! Stats are skewed too much this point of the season. One game can skew a person's stats and a lot of teams have only played three games compared to the Jets' four (which also skews the stats quite a bit). You take away the last game of the Jets and he has 6 TDs and 3 INTs. His QB rating in two of the three games were under 93. You take away the Cards game where he had 6TDs and 1INT and he is middle of the pack

The Jets are only a real threat for the division if 8-8 or 9-7. They might go 10-6 if everything goes their way. Their defense still is questionable. If you want to look at skewed stats, their pass defense is 30th in the league. They are 30th in points allowed (they have given up twice as many points than the Pats have).

The real thing working against the Jets in unfortunately they cannot play the Cards a home every weekend. Please stop using stats skewed by one All Pro performance which was preceeded by one average and two so-so performances as proof that Favre is still a top QB and the Jets are legitimate threats for the AFC East. They could be, be even in down years by Favre, he has had a game or two of All World performances. One game means nothing.

Guy hasn't been at the top since '96, when he won his only SB. And anyone who watched that game can tell you that Reggie White and Desmond Howard had a lot more to with Brett being on top than Brett did.

I know how you feel. I get embarrassed when I see posters on this board pretend to be Patriots fans and then criticize almost everything about the most successful NFL team of the decade.

Brett is a great QB and that was a great performance. Fortunately for us he is at the end of his great career or we might be in trouble.

what you forget is that he is not tom brady and therefore sucks **** / is overrated.

Both he and matt cassel are awful quarterbacks. Actually any quarterback in recent memory that is any good but is not tom brady is actually bad.

Your post has made me very angry!

No, you can't "take away" a game and deem the stats put up in it irrelevant or skewed. What a horrible and nonsensical argument.

He leads the league in TD passes and QB rating through 1/4th of the NFL season. He is also second in completion percentage.

Also one star? For posting factual stats and saying the Jets are still a threat? Grow up and think before you post.

What the hell? He was the second best QB in the league last year and led his team to a conference championship.

Pretend? Yes, I just dedicate 3 hours of my life every Sunday to find something to complain about on an online message board.

Almost everything? Off the top of my head things I've openly criticized on here...

1) Matt Cassel
2) The 2006 Draft / Laurence Maroney

I agree the Jets are a threat.

v Cincy, @ Oak, v KC, @ Buff, v St Louis.

They are going to win probably 4 of those games. I'd be surprised if they aren't 6-3 coming to New England.

All those points and yards the Jets gave up on Sunday were in the 2nd half, completely meaningless. They were up 31-0 at halftime.

Unless people think the Bills or Pats are somehow going 12-4 or 13-3, I don't see how the Jets aren't a threat in the division.

You're right, you can't "take away a game." You also can't rationalize that they are 2-2 just as predicted in pre-season and ignore Brady's injury, because you know as well as I do that if Brady were known to be out before the season started, the Jets' predicted record after 4 games virtually everywhere would have been 3-1.

Perhaps correct. However, the 9 or 10 wins people were giving the Jets, not at all a threat to win the division if Brady were playing, could be enough as it is. Who knows?
