Default Needs Will Be Solved in Free Agency or By Trades

Which positions needs do you expect to be solved by re-signing, by signing free agents or by trades before the draft?

Not counting re-signing our own, put me down for WR, CB, and S.

Low profile WR, CB and/or S I'd like to sign: CB Jabari Greer as a nickel or maybe #2 corner, Sean Jones as a starter and WR Stallworth (yeah he's coming back . . . . cheaper).

That is funny about Stallworth but what about D. Henderson from NO. I know he is a big play threat and can stretch the field.

The only time the Pats semi-hit on a WR was Gaffney (serviceable #3) Caldwell (serviceable#4 had no business being a #1) and Stallworth (serviceable #2, but not worth how much he would have cost to keep him). And before those guys... man it is not pretty the free agents we've inked to WR. The Pats have not had a lot of success getting GOOD receivers through free agency. They have had a lot of success getting them through trade though (Welker/Moss).

WR, ILB, S, CB...I think that's what I put down. I'd also say we'll draft OG, OT, TE, but those aren't needs per se. More about depth and long term prospects.

Ok I'll give you Patten... but he was signed in 2001. That's a LONG time ago. Think of all the stinkers in between Patten and now. Yeah...

Which of our own would you re-sign? For example, are you suggestin Gaffney AND a free agent WR. That's fine; I'm just asking.

I thik trades have to count. I think we did fine with Patten, Stallworth, Gaffney, Moss, Welker, and even on Washington and Aiken although they are primarily Sters. To put it another way, we have had a fine passing game that has been due to more that Brady and great play-calling.
