Default Tim Tebow in 2010 anyone [merged]

Buried in Peter King's MMQB today, during a discourse about whether Tenow is NFL material or not, this little nugget:

"I will bet a lot of money that when Tebow comes out, he won't get past New England in the second round; as much as Bill Belichick is around Urban Meyer and that program, I bet he's become a huge Tebow fan as a football player -- quarterback, goal-line back, something."

Something? Intriguing prospect - clearly not just for the Pats, but in what I have seen in Tebow the guy just looks like a winner. Every time you see him you wonder how much the opposing team has to do to get the W that day.

Heaven knows how he might fit into our roster by next year's draft, but surely he has to fit somewhere?

If it were up to Peter King we would draft a QB in the 2nd round every year.

We'll see. Tebow may be different. Or he may be just like the other 8 million college QBs who didn't succeed in the NFL.

Peter King knows very little about everything. My new big laugh is watching for his Word of the Week, which he invariably misuses -- this week being no exception.

Tebow might have moderate success in the NFL, but only if a team is willing to tailor its offense or a subset of packages to his strengths. I think he's an interesting backup QB that you can run a few gadget plays with. But his delivery is too slow and his accuracy only so-so. I'd say that's worth maybe a 4th round flier, but not much more.

when i look at him, he reminds me a lot physically like chris cooley. im sure he has similar speed. i think one question about him is whether he can block and whether he is tough enough to play in the trenches every play

Default Would Belichick draft Tebow? [merged]

There is an article on SI.com today with some extensive, praising quotes by BB about TT. I know he's saying he's not going to go out for the draft (which I think is the wrong call), but if he did I wonder if BB would take a chance on him. He calls him a "special player," and if there was anyone who would know how to use him, it would be Belichick. The kid is a proven winner, and I think the idea that he can't throw the ball is bull.

I would absolutely use one of the 2nd round picks on him, provided he fell that far. I wonder how Belichick would use him; obviously whether it's Brady or Cassel we're set at QB for the foreseeable future, but I wonder if there would be some kind of hybrid role for him on the team.

As a tight end or running back?? Certainly not as a QB!

Not a chance.

Tebow stays at Florida becomes the greatest college football player ever and then goes on to be a great QB................in the CFL.

Does it really matter since Tebow is returning to Florida for his senior year?
