Default WR Jeremy Maclin

would be rediculously SICK in our spread offense.

I have been thinking about WR possibly being great value, not necessarly a need but Mackin, Crabtree, Harvin, etc. would make pretty good 3rd WRs.

no thank you on Harvin...i don't like Florida WRs as they don't translate into good NFL WRs.

He goes to Missouri... not Florida.

http://huddlegeeks.com/NFL_Draft/mockdraft.htm

He is a projected top 20 pick though so there's no way I see the Pats spend that high a pick for a #3 WR.

I'd rather have a pass rushing OLB like say Everette Brown.

No Maclin plays for Mizzou. That's 100% sure.

im not on the WR bandwagon by any means but if Maclin was on the board wherever we pick you got to seriously look at him. This guy is a stud and would be absolutely insane in our pass happy spread offense. I could see him upgrading Gaffney as the #2 opposite Moss not necessarily the #3 WR. Plus he could give us some kick and punt return use.

agreed thats what i was thinking. If we are picking late teens or early 20's and Maclin is on the board and the stud corners/tackles/linebackers are already gone it would be very tempting to pick him as best value on the board.

Briz, whats up with you and the LITTLE guys?? WR and CB have a higher % of flops/boom-bust types which can kill a draft or a team(see Detroit). They are BARELY football players, lol.

Briz - You need to remember that value isn't just based on the physical and intangible assets that the player has, but also on the need of the team. My guess is that WR isn't going to be considered a big need on this team in comparison to Safety, ILB, OLB, CB, OT, OG, DE, and NT. Just like RB isn't going to be considered a big need.

P.S. - Is Maclin eligible for this year's draft?
