She had 3 bottle (breast milk) feeds last night. Removed her respiratory tube from her nose. Now checking to see if the bleeding in the heart has stopped before pulling that tube out. Ouch! Can't imagine the pain of having a tube sticking in my heart. But it's necessary to prevent the lungs from being flooded.

Your adorable daughter and the rest of your family are in my prayers for all good outcomes. My niece had open-heart surgery at a young age and she bounced back, as expected by the docs, but to a level (and with a speed) that was shocking to us. Hope the same goes for you, times ten.

My boy had multiple surgeries as a babe, including heart surgery when he was 8mos old, at Children's in Boston. He's a wonderful young man of 22 now, and we send our prayers to you and yours!
