As it stands, the ball hit Welker in the hands. It should have been caught and the game should have been over at that point. The Giants, as is usually the case when they play the Pats, got lucky. They also got lucky by having numerous lost fumbles bounce away or, literally, between surrounding Patriots throughout the game. That's why they were able to sustain the onslaught in the second half in just enough time for Eli to throw up a prayer through double coverage.
The ball hit Tyree in the hands too. Btw, I've never been to Seattle in my life, let alone live there. I live in New England, ergo my handle.

In BOTH cases, it's on the QB to make the throw and on the WR to make the catch. Nobody talks about dropped passes when you talk about big games. Nobody remembers that Flacco threw a ball on the money in the AFCCG and the receiver dropped it. They just remember that the Pats were in the superbowl, and the Ravens came up short yet again.

This is a Patriots board and, yet, one of the most hotly contested questions in years was the question of whether Flacco's "on the money" throw ended up incomplete because the WR screwed up or because the DB made a spectacular play. Flacco having gotten the job done to the point of the throw is not even in question.

Tyree caught it off his helmet. Also, the throw should never have been allowed because Manning should have been whistled down, which completely negates your point. If you're going to troll, do a better job.

So you are a bandwagoner....

In all honesty, i think if we play the hawks again we can take them. If it weren't for brady's intentinal grounding at the end of the first half denying us a field goal attempt we would have beaten them in THEIR building. They are a marginal team on the road at 3-5.
Off The Grid likes this.

The same dunce who you gave a "like" to on another thread? Interesting.

Trolling usually involves name-calling and flaming, neither of which I'm doing, but plenty of you guys are.

It actually hit him in the head. Strahan himself even commented how lucky that throw was being that Eli lofted it down the seam. Now you're clearly trolling.

And which bandwagon would that be exactly? How many superbowls have the Seahawks won again? Oh yeah...

If it just hit him in the head, it would have bounced off. He obviously got his hand on it. I'm not disagreeing with you that it was lucky. When did I say otherwise?

He didn't drop it, Sterling Moore knocked it out of his grasp. It was a good defensive play. People seem to forget that as well.

Seriously, why do some of you keep bringing up the Seahawks? Are fans of other teams not allowed to contribute an UNBIASED opinion on the topic? Is this how you guys treat all members who are fans of different teams?
