Default Help: Quebec City - Place to Watch the Game

My wife and I are going away for New Years to Quebec City. We've been there a number of times, but never during football season. Does anyone know a good spot to catch the game? I'm sure I can figure one out via google, but thought I'd ask here first. Thanks in advance.

Funiculaire.

Very cozy. Just bring some pliers to cut the circuits about halfway down the incline. Watching it inside one of those things on a laptop with a large order of poutine and some Molson is an experience you'll never forget!

Showing football is probably illegal in Quebec.

It's way too manly of an event for the French.

Might scare them and make them surrender.

Boston Pizza usually has big screen TVs and shows games. They call themselves a sports bar. There's a Boston Pizza in QC. Call first to be sure but they do show NFL games.

Thanks for the Boston Pizza idea. I've never been to one. I've been to La Cage Aux Sports in Montreal and I see there is one just outside QC. Going to have to call I think and check on both.

If those fail, poutine and Molson in the Funiculaire sounds pretty good too!

Thanks

Football is king in Quebec city, the Laval University just won the Vanier Cup (our BCS Championship in Canadian Football).

Laval University is basically an SEC team when compared to the other football programs in Canada. From Wiki:

"The Laval CIS football (like NCAA in the US) team began its first regular season in 1996 and has won the Vanier Cup in 1999, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. The Rouge et Or have a record of 7–1 in the Vanier Cup.

Laval established a CIS record in 2012, for the most Vanier Cup championships (7) in history. "

So basically 7 championships, 8 Vanier Cup in 17 years of the existence of the program.

The Vanier Cup is being held each year since 1965 !

So football is king the province of Quebec...

So are the Pats :-)

Unless he goes to an English language bar (not even sure if that exists there); they'll be in French. Quebec is very strict about their businesses being in French.
