Default Awesome Charity Auction Package (Jimmy Fund)

If you've got the cash (I certainly don't) and are feeling charitable (all proceeds to benefit the Jimmy Fund via the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Telethon coming up this Thursday/Friday on EEI and NESN), then you ought to listen to the Big Show tomorrow (2-6PM) and bid...

According to Ordway, they'll be auctioning off a package on Tuesday that allows the auction winner and 3 colleagues to attend a special event... on Friday, August 22nd, the winner of the auction will go to Gilette stadium early in the afternoon and meet with Coach Belichick in his office, where he'll discuss any and all things Patriots football with you. You'll then have sideline access for the pre-season game vs Philly that night, it it will likely include meet and greets with players and other team personnel.

I didn't catch all the details, I'm sure they'll talk about it more tomorrow... but I know if I had the discretionary income and was feeling charitable, I'd spend it in a heartbeat for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

And as a whiner line caller said today... I'm sure it'll be okay to bring a camera.

Bummah! I'd win the bid except I'm going sailing down the coast of Maine that weekend.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

Personally, I want to win the lunch with Ben Affleck. I just want to find out how he keeps on getting movies when he is one of the worst actors on the planet.

Heard the coach on promoting it... says he's going to let the winner pick the first play of the game that the offense runs.

If the winning bid takes the total over the top, assumed to be 4 million..
