Default Friday 3 Aug at Gillette

Hot, sunny & humid. The grass EZ about half full and plenty of room in the stands.

+ PR trio is Welker, Edelperson and Hernandez. Welker once and Hernandez twice fumbled kicks. Edes was perfect and got lots of reps.

+ Speaking of Edes he had a great day. Dropped one pass that was stripped (thrown behind him by Brady) caught everything else and made a great back of the EZ TD catch from TFB.

+ Jones at DE

+ Brady's Bday. Completes over 80% of throws into coverage (maybe our DBs really suck?). On one 11 on 11 series, Edes got stripped (see previous) then on the next play Hernandez got stripped. Brady's 1st 2 misses. He was pissed and yelling at the O to "Just make a PLaY!!!"

+ All QBs had shots at passes where they woulda been sacked in real life 10 minutes earlier. Nice pass rush pressure.

+ Nice drill where WRs run with the ball at at the DBs who have to tackle them. Welker, Edelman and Hernandez all de-jocked the DBs without being touched. Gronk ran into his opponent so hard that the guy spun through the air landing on his head. Too funny. The other half dozen WRs got tackled.

+ Ebner & Lllllloyd returned

+ 1st team OL Solder, D Thomas!, Wendell, Connolly, Cannon.

+ Hoyer great deep pass to The Hut. Hut well covered on his left so Hoyer throws deep to his right. Jabba turns 180 degrees and makes the TD catch. Applause.

+ Nice back of the EZ route by Edelperson for a Brady TD. Edes had just caught the flare pass on the previous play to get them to the 7.

+ 2 fights. !st when the D stuffed a run play with attitude and Wendell objected. Everyone sans Tom (Gisele said "No fighting on your Bday!") joins in on the fun. Couple plays later it's Groundhog Day with another brawl. Gets a 3 lap run plus a 3 minute lecture by BB. Probably saying save it for the Saints.

+ Hoyer is VERY impressive. GMs are idiots for not wanting this guy. The Hammer doesn't get many reps. Had a nice short pass series going at the end but then missed 2 in a row and it was time for FG practice.

Despite the fights kind of a bland day with no real standouts on D.

Brady can make any secondary look like crap. But in this case they were probably just crap.

Look at the pick stats for Jets camp. Crappy QBs. Zero picks by Pats D today. 2 tips. QBs were on their game.

Hoyer?

I like him and wish the best for him.

But I'd rather see him rot on the Pats bench than play in the green cesspool and save them from their Sanchez error.

Hey babe, I'm no Hep-Cat. I'm guessing "Jabba" is Gaffney, but who is "The Hut"?

Good stuff as always, PWP. Glad that you were able to see a full pads practice after all.

He's Jabba the Hutt's slightly less obese son.

and everyone knows we don't say Rs in MA. "Pahk the cah." We then add those missing Rs to words like Cuber.
