Default Belichick's Symmetry Game

Just a passing observation or 2 on the draft. Seems like BB is playing a game...

drafted C. Jones from Syracuse 21st overall
Pat's drafted Tebucky Jones 22nd O'all from Syracuse in 1998

drafted T. Wilson, S from Illinois, in the 2nd rd
In 2003 Pats took Eugene Wilson, S from Illinois, in th 2nd rd (#36)

Maybe just a couple of coincidences, sorta like, in 2003
we lost the 1st game to Bills 31-0
and won the last game , yep, 31-0.

Who knows what goes on in BB's brain.

I would guess it to be nothing more than coincidence, much like the "Police Academy" drafting thread

Of course, one never truly knows when trying to figure a guy like Belichick out.

Nevertheless, we have some very observant posters on these boards. I never would have put these facts (or the 'Police Academy' draft) together to be honest with you.

Jones is the 4th most popular and Wilson the 8th most popular name in the US. It could just be that.

To me the real symmetry point of this draft is that BB drafted Wilson, a seventh rounder in the second, and then drafted Dennard, a second rounder in the seventh.

BB didn't draft Tebucky Jones. Pete Carroll and Bobby Grier did.
