Re: The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck
Congratulations, Jets.
You just hired a guy who onced deferred in OT.
He'll fit in nicely.

And you can bet he will have complete autonomy. Wrecks knows nothing about offense and isn't interested, while everyone else will be afraid of guilt by association.

"I like both of these hires, I think the Jets future is looking pretty bright now with Idzik & Mornhinweg onboard.
A competent young bright mind at GM coming over from an organization where he was very successful, a REAL offensive mind In Mornhinweg as OC, Rex as HC with him and Thurman running the D and Ben Kotwica revitalizing special teams.
This could very well be the BEST front office and coaching staff the Jets have had in decades. "

Ahh yes...the hype for preseason SB has begun.
I saw that and laughed my arse off yesterday. The funny thing is before this week, not one Jets fan knew who John Idzik was. Now Jets fans talk about him as if he is some kind of superstar personnel evaluator. Fact is, although he has had more personnel experience than Tannebaum, he is still a cap guy not a personnel man. He could turn into a great GM, but how do Jets fans even know. He was like the Jets' 12th choice.
As for Mornhinweg, the guy still runs the antiquated west coast offense and was just running Andy Reid's offense.
Re: The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck
Morninhweg did a good job in Philadelphia until Reid turned on the QB carousel and screwed up what was a solid offense. He's a QB evaluator/coach at his core, so maybe they'll figure out how to use Sanchez.
Speculation in NYC is Mike Vick follows along. I have no idea how they pay him or how that offensive line keeps him alive. That would add another act to the circus. If Vick has a say in it, he should tell his agent, no way.

So in other words:
* A QB who can actually play QB
* An offensive line that can actually protect a QB
* Skill players that can actually make plays
And the JEST get to pick, at most, two?
