I think we can all agree that behind the secondary, wide receiver is a big need for this team. I cant imagine how much more open our offense would be if we always werent looking for the dink and dunk passes/10yard out.

however, I say no..partially because of the suspension, but also because I dont think we necessarily need a guy who will command the salary that he is getting.

with a free agency loaded with Wide receivers, someone like Brandon Lloyd would be a cheaper option and give us the production we need from that spot...

No way.

You always hear that one of the biggest things the Patriots look for in players is a guy who considers football a big priority in his life.

Jackson got a DUI the week of a playoff game. He also managed to get detained by police and his car impounded the day of another playoff game. Phillip Rivers had to actually swing by the scene and pick Jackson up to bring him to the game.

Does that sound like a guy who has football at the top of his priority list?

I don't care about the risk, but the guy wants top dollar.

After that ridiculous thing Larry Fitz signed this season, no way. I want a system guy, who will come in and go to work and catch the ball. We don't need a megatron. Just a decently quick, tall WR.

No, no, no, and no.

Vincent Jackson wants Brandon Marshall money without the Brandon Marshall production. Jackson was actually a bit disappointing this year, I saw him make a bunch of drops in prime time games.

Give me Brandon Lloyd who will come at a fraction of the cost and has the benefit of having worked with Josh McDaniels in each of the past three seasons.

With a pretty decent crop of FA-WR I don't think Jackson is worth the risk or the dough.

I would pass on the Jackson's and make a serious run at Lloyd. Lloyd knows how to play for McDaniels and in the system and he won't cost as much. Then I would look at Colston as the next option

Yep, I remember watching that game. We can't be having that effort on a key play in the playoffs or Superbowl.
