Back in the 2010 draft, the Pats could have drafted WR Dez Bryant and DE Carlos Dunlop. Two years later, we are basically saying those are 2 areas of weakness, no #1 stud receiver and no pass rushing threat. Of course Belichick blew that chance by picking that pass rushing stud Jermaine (Crable) Cunningham instead of Carlos Dunlop. The 2010 draft could have been legendary if the Pats could have walked away with Bryant, Dunlop, Gronkowski and Hernandez.
Would it have been enough to put the Pats over the edge and win it all. I know there will ever be a way to tell if it would have worked out well, but both players are on the verge of greatness. Now with two number 1 picks and two number 2 picks, we can only hope BB can rectify his errors of drafting past, but I doubt we actually pick players with those picks. |

In the last month alone, Dez started a bar fight, and a report came out that he doesn't know how to run routes. Not exactly great things to be known for.
Dunlap was bit in the rear end by regression to the mean this season. His sack to pressure percentage was absurdly high, and it fell a lot this season, as expected. Are we really complaining because the Pats didn't pick a guy who ended up with 4.5 sacks this season?

Selecting Mike Wallace instead of Brandon Tate in 2009 might have given you a better hypothetical.

Don't think this is a fair question, as there are too many variables. But, the Pats certainly stink at evaluating WR talent, and I do believe we are Super Bowl champions if we have even decent evaluators.
Trade up to grab Chad Jackson, GB trades down and gets Greg Jennings. Fail. Bring on Joey Galloway. Fail. Bring on Chad Ochocinco for $6M. Fail. Draft Taylor Price and Brandon Tate. Fail. Sad thing is that with Tate, Price, Ocho, and Galloway, all we needed was a 2/3 receiver, a guy who is just decent and can tally up 600 yards per season. These guys were just horrendous decisions. Deion Branch was a decent addition, but he appears to be done. |

Hypothetically speaking, I beleive the Patriosts would have won if Gronkowski was healthy. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it! LOL!

I agree with this. I believe he makes the play on the Blackburn INT, and would have been the main jumper on the hail mary instead of the shorter Hernanadez. Gronk was behind the play trying to grab deflections, I don't even think he was looking at the ball in the endzone during it's flight. Also, he probably would have had 8 catches instead of 2.
