As I got to know PT better, he told me that every year a few weeks before the Super Bowl he buys several hundred thousand dollars worth of Super Bowl tickets from at least two different NFL owners, then resells most of them to Vegas casinos, their high-roller hosts and some Wall Street friends of his back in New York. He also would run ads across the country and sell to whoever called and could wire cash.
If this guy is a true fan, getting Super Bowl tickets is going to be pretty difficult due to the hierarchy system. Sure enough, two years following the year after he told me about his ticket gig and his suppliers, I was in the restaurant when a well-known NFL owner walked in with his entourage and a black brief case in hand...

An Indianapolis ticket broker (below) has plenty of tickets now at a low of $1,845 (section 641), which had previously been at a low of $2,400. Best deal: Section 349, Row 3 for $1,886.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH

Things are unfolding with ticket prices as they always do, every Super Bowl. Which once again proves what liars the people at Ace Ticket here in Boston are. They were on 98.5 and local sports TV proclaiming that prices were bottoming out last Thursday/Friday and would then go up from there. They were just out to scare people into buying from them before prices started to decline. Greedy bastards.

LMAO... there's your catch. It's kind of like finding a good price on eBay and discovering the seller is charging S&H at something like 80% of the initial price, negating the value.

Re: OT: Here's one reason season ticket holders don't get SB tix
I say this delicately....it is one thing for a coach or player to sell their allotments....but a F'n owner? C'mon! And why does Jerry Jones and Mike Brown come to mind?
