Gee, why bother to play the game? Madden football is the same as a real NFL game isn't it?

EA Sports, maker of the popular Madden NFL football video games, has conducted its official simulation of Super Bowl 46, and the Giants emerged a 27-24 victor.

Hasn't the winner of the simulation won the last few in a row in real life? I'm not suggesting anything here for all of the people on here that like to jump at a chance to flame the next person. I'm just asking the question out of curiosity.
