Default Rob Gronkowski: Miracle Healer?

Watching Sports Final last night, they showed a clip of Gordy Gronkowski talking about Gronk when he broke his leg in high school. He said Gronk was supposed to be in a thigh high cast for six weeks and then a smaller cast for four. He said Gronk was out of a cast in two weeks. He claims there is something in his DNA.

This just confirms my theory that Gronk may be an alien sent to Earth as a child and adopted by the Gronkowski family. They probably found him and his crashed ship in a corn field.

In all seriousness, I think there is a chance that Daddy Gronk may have overstated Gronk's injury to make him look like Superman next Sunday.

It really depends on the severity of the sprain and the toughness of the individual. Gronk will play and if he's effective for only the first half that's ok. Patriots have tons of other weapons.....the key is to get BOB and TB to USE THEM. Use Kevin Faulk, use Benny, use Ocho, RUN THE F*&%#ing BALL, throw screens....use everyone and the Patriots will be fine without a 100% Gronk.
If we see a steady diet of Brady in shotgun with an empty backfield it's going to be '07 all over again.

Maybe Gronk and Ben Roethlisberger have the same marketing firm?

I don't care what gets said, I just want him healthy enough to contribute. Hernandez will be much more effective (well the whole offense ) if he's play at a high level.

Age could be a factor as well given that the younger you are, the faster you heal.

This offseason, it's almost like Belichick is saying, "I'm never going to let that happen again."

BTW, although it is just another opinion, Roosevelt Colvin said that he feels that Gronk could play and at a high level. He said from his experience, Gronk could do almost everything he could while healthy as long as he can handle the pain. He did say he will likely go down easier because of the injury, but that may be the only thing.

I don't put any more stock in his opinion than I do with these medical experts who have no direct knowledge of Gronk's injuries, but I figured I would give the other side of the story.

Gronk did not come from outer space. Gronk is Wolverine. He just keeps his haircut short and shaves reguarly.

listen.....the spin benefits the pats to have everyone believe he is more injured than he really is....not saying that's what's happening, but would not be suprised if that was the case.

fact is, he went back out there when they didn't need him (they could have used an OL for what he did on the goal line play), and even on a high ankle sprain, the swelling will be minimal by now. his yac may be a bit lower, but the giants still don't have anyone that can cover an even gimpy gronk

It's certainly better to be in this situation than to suddenly lose hm on the first series of the game without a well-prepared backup plan. My guess is the Patriots' gameplan will involve Gronk but will be extremely spread out. I'm looking for Branch and Woodhead to combine for 10 catches.
