Default Brady diagnosed with Sprained AC Joint in NON-THROWING Shoulder

Didn't see this posted anywhere,so I guess this is the name for the injury he has in that non throwing shoulder.

Tom Brady Injury: Patriots Quarterback Has Sprained AC Joint - SB Nation Boston

It must be secretly painful for Tom,fortunately this will not stop him from playing but is an injury that should be rested ASAP when the season is over as it is nearly a 2 month healing process.

Had this been in his throwing shoulder,it might have been a different story regarding his ability to play in these playoff games.

Eerily similar to the 2007 season when Brady entered the playoffs with another sprain, that high ankle sprain.....this one hopefully will not be a hindrance to him any further.

Did he get hurt on one of those QB sneaks?

I think it might have happened sometime in those last 2 games of the season, possibly on a sack...I believe Buffalo is when this occurred maybe when he got sacked pretty hard by Kellen Heard...or maybe it was against Miami.

Provided the injury happened before Denver, this is of little concern. His play in Denver proves it isn't something that will keep him from being effective. If the injury happened (or was aggravated) at the end of the Denver game or during practice this week (why he missed Tuesday?) then it is ultra concerning........certainly enough to place the odds of a victory considerably further away.
Hopefully I am worried for no reason.

I am sure it is the reason he missed practice, but not because it happened in the last week!

You'll find it just needs some extra rest!

It was Wednesday, IIRC, and he has missed Wednesday practices many times before to heal and rest. As he said, he was certainly still reviewing the game plan and doing lots of work.

Hopefully, we get a win Sunday and 2 weeks of rest, but considering that he is not even listed on the practice report anymore I don't think you should be all that worried.

This "Sprained AC Joint" is nothing more than the technical name of his minor injury, which is pretty much as you stated.

He isn't appearing on the injury report anymore, so I think it's just something that they were minorly cautious about down the stretch at the end of December--and why not? I'd have done the same thing.

Missing practice on Wednesday is absolutely no big deal, in my opinion, as it was likely done out of being overly cautious.

As far as "taking up to 2 months to heal" properly, I believe that's in a worst case scenario...it also could be noted that the doctors claimed Roethlisberger would take until "the end of May" for his ankle to fully recover.

All things considered, I believe that Tom is just fine heading into the last game or two of the yr.

Yeah, let's put this one to bed PF24.

This thread has the capacity to scare a lot of people for no particular reason.

I understand what the OP was trying to relay in terms of his thoughts etc and that is totally understandable, and I respect it 100%; but in the bigger picture of things, there's a good chance that a lot of posters will simply scan the title and get worried for nothing.

Maybe this will drop down the list on the front page, and people will realize that it's just the technical name for what Brady has been experiencing in the last month or so.

No disrespect at all intended for PATRIOTSFANINPA, who is a great poster.

As long as it's a grade 1 sprain, which doesn't involve tearing of the ligaments, its a very minor injury. Not concerned even a little bit about this. It usually takes a couple weeks to heal and not much you can do for it but rest and ice.
