2008 doesnt count.. Brady injured.
2009 One of the worst teams Bill had in his tenure here.
2010 an early to mid season adjustment and you could really feel that team making a SB run... a fluky bad game and they were 1 and done.
2011 Shades of 2010 but better offensively, especially with most of there big guns healthy going into the play offs. The team is a slow starter through out the 2nd half of the season but when they figure it out.. its lights out. Whether its half time adjustments or mid game adjustments or just executing better.. what ever it is they dont seem to quit or panic. Since 2008 and maybe a few of the other non super bowl appearance seasons its as tough a team as I can remember.

But the most important factor is the offensive line.. if they give Brady the time, we at least get to the SB. I think being down in games and clawing and fighting back will definitely help this team come play offs. I just have a good feeling about this team. Better than last year.

You need to come up with a more clever insult. You just called me Mazz yesterday, and I'm most certainly not his cousin.

You should also try posting something that doesn't attempt an insult at someone because you disagree/they disagree with you.

Two points:

One, I'm convinced the team lost last year after coming in overconfident because of the 45-3 win over the Jets. They were expecting to dominate the Jets and were almost shocked that they were punched in the mouth early on. Shocked too that the first drive that had the Jets on their heels ended up sputtering.

There are a lot of vets on this team without Super Bowl rings.

Logan Mankins
Brian Waters
Wes Welker
Jerod Mayo

None of these guys have rings.

And Vince Wilfork was a rookie when he got his one and only ring.

This team has some hungry vets on it.

We also benched our best receiver on the first series to drive home the "No Fun League" message which may have contributed to Brady throwing a pick on a freaking screen play, had a punt protector muff a snap call that got the Jets into the Red Zone and set up a score at the end of the half, had a veteran tight end drop a sure touchdown and had a nice leisurely drive while we were down 11 points. Not much went right or was done right that evening.

Default Wilfork: “We haven’t had a team like this in a while”

Quote:
“I love having this team. This team shows me a lot each week. This team never gets too down, never gets too high,” nose tackle Wilfork said. “The character of this team is amazing. We haven’t had a team like this in a while. Hopefully we can finish this thing up and get to where we want to be . . . with this team, I love my chances with this team.”
My belief is that the first game will be the biggest hurdle(mentally) for this team, once they win the first game then we should be clear favs in the AFC to reach the SB

I believe they are a mentally tough team. But for some reason, them talking about it so much is bothering me. To me, its almost as if they are trying to convince themselves that they are mentally tough.

Personally I wish they would just go about their business the way they normally do, and let everyone else call them mentally tough.
