Default According to his family member, Vollmer might be done for season

Living in Texas, I don't see people wearing Patriots shirts very often. So when I see them, I usually strike up a conversation. During last season, while at the store, I met the future sister-in-law of Vollmer. On Saturday, I met his future mother-in-law. As she was walking away, I commented that it had been a tough season for him. She said, "Yeah, he's probably done for the season." She noticed someone she knew and started talking so I obviously didn't want to be a jerk and push her for more info.

Take it for what it's worth. I would guess he's said something or her daughter. If he maybe doubts he'll be back, we probably shouldn't get our hopes up.

Zero surprise. He was on crutches recently. We should have enough OL depth to withstand it. Just need to keep Light, Solder and Cannon healthy, and get Mankins back.

It is a blow, but I like the way Solder and Cannon are playing these past few weeks, so it will likely not be that harsh.

Mankins is the one we need back for the divisional round.

If this is true, why isn't he on IR, so we can bring up another special teamer?

Back injuries are annoying.
